Gary's pic ^^^ is making me grin as well. The 126 just looks so small.

Can we please have a pic of it parked next to a new BINI.

Took Mum shopping in the BX and spotted (and was in turn spotted) by some other chod.

One of these in black/navy blue followed me in.

And that local beige daily Skoda went past me at a junction, looks not too dissimilar to this, but is in the slightly browner hue and scruffier looking overall.

I had forgotten how clean and tidy those early ADO16s looked.

I rather like that, the colour really suits it

On my google seach I found the results of a behind the Co-op knee trembler between the venerable 1100 and a rather pissed dolomite

DW: If not, then there's two alike in the vicinity. I was sure it was on black plastic bumpers, but seeing the state of the chrome ones in that pic I'm not so certain now.

Apparently the horsies have been breeding. The clouds of black smoke were  worthy too.

Nope, bought it almost exactly a year ago and had all the fluids and filter changed, driveshafts also replaced as u/s, nothing else relevant's been done. As far as I can tell from fairly comprehensive service history, it's still on the original pump which has not been overhauled (Bosch FWIW) and injectors. There's a possibility that the mix may have been tweaked before I got it, but think it unlikely, given history - giffers until late 2010 who serviced it religiously, then improverished ignoramus to Feb 2012. Just lucky I guess :D

^That's bloody brilliant! I very nearly wet myself laughing.

Last week I saw that my next door neighbour had put some stuff out on his front, presumably for the scrap man. Incuding these:

I thought I would be cheeky so I popped round and spoke to his son, he thought they were scrap and said take them so I said they would be safe in my garage if his dad did want them back. Saw said dad yesterday and he said 'Yeah, have them'. I suspect they are big Humber as he has a Super Snipe festering in the garage.

I don't have any use for them, but that's not the point, is it?

I doubt any of you care, but I'm currently grinning as I'm watching live baseball (yes it's rounders played by grown men).

It's only a spring training game, but the season is nearly here :D

Facebook's Amazon Kindle page asked, "What book had the greatest impact on you as a child?"

My first answer was about the angle and force with which it landed, but then I thought again - and amongst the Willard Price and Alan Garner stories there were two that stood out, one fiction and one not.

Not fiction? The Triumph Herald workshop manual.

Fiction? The Bus Under The Leaves. :):):) Very happy memories.

Blimey. Willard Price. I devoured his novels when I was at secondary school. Not sure I'd thought about them between then and your post!

On a literary theme, I'm reading an Andy McNab novel at the moment. It's hilariously crap. I was a bit scared to learn that Mr McNab is not actually a 12-year old boy, but is apparently one of our most highly decorated soldiers and ex-SAS. This is actually terrifying. To summarise the novel so far, the Syrians will fuck you up and the lead character's cock hurts. It's not the best book I've ever read I must admit.

Smiling because I'm sat at Stanstead with a boarding card and a nice ticket for the motor show.

Ha, I was on that earlier and the 205 was the only decent car I could find.

I answered that one with "The Joy of Sex".

Just had a few minutes scooting around that pic.

Fair gives your computer's processor a bit of a work-out doesn't it? Especially if you've got a shite computer without a proper graphics card, but anyway I digress...

Couldn't see the 205 but I did find this old 3 series. 8)

Today I bought a Ford Orion that I have no space and no need for. It looked a little sad. It has a broken quarter light and a knacked steering lock from where the worlds worst car thief failed to nick it, but it has 4 months MOT and 10 months tax, and looks to be in good nick under the thin veil of recent neglect. Plus it was very cheap.

Now I just need to work out what to do with it.

Shiterprize car hire! I think this is a superb notion, we can have offices all over the country offering literally one car per county.
