Congrats :)

I'm about to embark on the Leon pre mot assessment. The brakes are in the boot, zorst is blowing and front end knocks is all I know without crawling underneath. Yay for sunshine today at least.

Top news. Congrats, and all that.

We sold a Saab that had been traded in today, when prepping it for sale, I took the spare out and found a Snap On T20 screwdriver, it almost makes up for some of the tools of mine that have escaped over the years! :)

Whilst working on the Leon today I firstly solved the damp issue, and secondly found out why the rear window wash wasn't working. The reservoir seems to be using half as much wash stuff as before now it's not dumping it all in the boot :D

Rear pads were down to sweet FA and the discs were scrap so glad we had our monies worth there.

It's a deep burgundy colour and hides the dirt well so hasn't been washed since the winter. I've thrown a bucket over it and has come up a treat, hope the tester appreciates the effort.

Best of all I looked up the date and it's not expired till March so it can go in the next few weeks giving plenty of time to fix any unseen faults. I'm feeling scarily organised this time after the 4 months lapse last year

It's back up!

I was getting bummed in a public toilet and slipped on a wet floor and split my head open... my boyfriend had to rush me to hospital. I just received a £2k cheque for 10 stiches in my head and a burst anus... thanks! Mr C Eyley

I'm going to cry fake/ viral marketing - None of the links on the site work and there's just something odd about it...

Had to fit a new side light bulb to the 306 for it to gain a ministry of transport roadworthyness certificate today. Then I went to the post office to tax it.Like most cars traded to me I don't bother sending the V5c off so I filled in the green slip before going in."Just bought it,have you" asked the woman behind the counter.Erm,yeah.Then she says "won't be using it until tomorrow" why ? it's still taxed and I'm using it now I replied. Then she was all "I don't care when you use your car" As she was looking at my trade insurance I said "neither do I, I've got trade plates" After that initial snottiness she was fine with collecting my cash.

I had a strangely vivid car related dream last night. It all started with me going for a walk when I saw the knackered would-be donor car for the Princess parked up, I hopped in and took it for a drive (as you do) and when I came back there was a Princess hearse parked up. I walked home to get my camera, came back and saw another 5 beige Princesses had joined the party, none of them were mine. I hope I guessed correctly that my subconscious was telling me to work on the car, because that's what I did, it was quite an unsettling thing to wake up from.

My new toys arrived yesterday, Phil Taylor Phase 6 darts. Used them for the first time today and despite them feeling weird (they're small and stubby) they are great. Now it's practise time for the 'big match' with work.

Oh God, aye, it was on the eBay thread I think at some point. The rear looks like it's (very) loosely based on an L200 Mitsubishi thing. Whatever, it's abso-fucking-lutely gash and the creator should be shot.

There was a designer range of Minis, with such icons as Kate Moss attaching their names to the car. Seems that Citroen approached Sarah Jessica Parker instead.

The Transibushi looks like its based on L200 running gear: look at the leaf springs on the back. If I’m not mistaken they’re from just that. Not sure what to think of the L333 lights though. What the heck do you class that as when you go to insure it?

IIRC, it was a Ford Cargo prison wagon with an L200 rear and the obvious transit crewcab.
