Oh, they're back on the shitlist.

"The part for your boiler is obsolete. We recommend you buy a new boiler."

The part that's in stock right now at Toolstation, Wolseley and at least 2 or 3 other companies within 5 minutes of googling?

What part is it? If it's easy enough I'll tell you how to change it.

Discovered the bonkers coop meal deal. A sarnie is a main. But you can add a cornish pasty as a snack. And a drink. For £3.50 with coop membership.

Meant to have a second spine op as of June onwards…. Nope, not on the list. I try again in Sept. Nope, not on the list. Hmm, back and legs getting worse. I phone again last week. Still not on the list but the med sec said she would put me on the cancellation list as some people don’t want an op before Christmas.

A new pre-op letter plops on the mat last week. Hmm.

Phonecall on Friday. Would you like to have your op on Christmas Eve? Yes please….

Expansion vessel - it's on an Ideal Logic+ 35 Combi. I think I've found someone else who's hopefully giving me a quote, as that's a little bit out of my comfort zone

Not the christmas you planned, but hopefully one you want.

I know you shouldn’t laugh at such things, but  The Proclaimers singing at Alex Salmond’s memorial service. Sounded like they were coming home from the pub after a particularly long  sesh.

Scottish culture at its best!

Jings!

To be honest - that really makes me giggle. The only thing worse than bagpipes at a funeral has to be The Proclaimers*, shirley?

*we have a secret bet here that, in private, the pair of them come over all Bearsden or Morningside these days. With the posh la-di-dah accent and they go back to Leith for forty fags each and a couple of bevvies to prep before each gig.

Equally amusing was Nicola Sturgeon giving it a swerve and going to Janey Godley’s funeral instead.

Wee Kranky? I had a muck sweat a few months back thinking we may be related as my mother's mother's family name was Sturgeon - I'd just found out that Wee Kranky was not only born in the same hospital as me but her Grandad also hailed from the same place (Ayr) as my lot.

If you are, that's your summer holiday sorted - 2 weeks in a campervan on the NC500 😄😄

Currently watching the Senna series on Netflix.

Generally pretty good for this type of thing, but occasionally the 'willing suspension of disbelief' faces some challenges!

This, we are informed by the caption, is Norfolk - so, presumably, Snetterton.  Must be the mythical '400' circuit, because I've never found the mountains and hairpin climbs when we're there for the 2CV 24-hour.  Perhaps they get the August Bank Holiday off... 😁

Red hot content like that cannot be contained on just one car forum.

Would she have been welcome at salmonds funeral though? Might have been a bit awkward for the family in fairness.

My dad often buys a pizza deal with beer for about £5.

Now live on the incident in Poland, Missile hit farmhouse and British man on holiday had his breakfast ruined. He says he has never been so scared and pissed himself when this happened.

But as a married man with children being at home alone with the dog for a while must be nice?
