I demand a "Prize for the Best Dressed Person" award at the next Autoshite event.

I think it could be a bloody good show. Check out the latest pics from the Rebel Vanners site...

To be honest, I think that is an award you could win quite easily just by not wearing greasy jeans and a holey old jumper.

At our next meet I'm wearing a longish jumper under a short PVC jacket. Classy!

Perhaps we could make it into a "Worst Dressed" award? Special points given for unmanageable hair, poor hygiene, etc.

Posted

I'm grinning because in the past two days, I have spotted two bits of early 80s BL shite on local numberplates, and one was even wearing a Leycare sticker in the window.

Let's be honest, chances of me not winning this are pretty slim

It's the combination of vehicle, typeface and rust stains.

I spotted a number plate on Thursday evening, attached to a '90s Audi, '14 LOL'

Best bit - the rear one was a crusty, pressed metal Serck :D Photo in my spotted thread some time I expect.

Anyway "on topic"

What makes me grin is the thought of fixing the artheritic donkey*, at the weekend AND hopefully doing some lovely Tig Welding.

*Artheritic Donkey does not exist, it is mearly the 309

None of you would have a chance in the 'best dressed man' if I showed up.

Mark, keep that welding work going, your services will be required as discussed at Cockonmondaydillydally Castle t'other week.

I'm grinning like mad as I've just bought my biggest bargain to date, more news on this later once I've collected but lets just say its 26 years old with a blue oval badge and will create a lot omg ftw etcs when i post a thread of it.

on the down side it means my Mk4 is now up for sale. :-(

Looking forward to the pics Trig!

I'm grinning because I actually managed to get off my arse this morning and have been cruising around in the sunshine, Austin Cambridge style, taking photos of shite to post in my spotted thread. Managed to photograph some pretty cool stuff which I'd been after for ages. :D

Trigger, you need to let us know what you have bought! I am really quite excited to find out, and you should update your spotted thread today Dicky.

I am grinning because I have been informed of two old Rover 800s location in Basingstoke, and there is apparently a MKII Astra style Pontiac LeMans going around now too.

Today is my 40th birthday. This I am fairly ambivalent about but

this makes me grin hugely. Best present ever - a non functioning 40 year old wah-wah to mess with. 8)

Happy Birthday SOC!

This forum is starting to make me grin again after a few days of turmoil. It looks like there has been some extra effort on the shite content with lots of spottages!

Yeahman, happy birthday SOC. 40's not that bad, I've been getting the hang of it over the last few months.

Get that wah wah fired up.

Happy birthday young un!

Happy birthday also SOC!

I agree, it's perked up a lot since Saturday, let's try and keep the standard up guys, you only get out of a forum what you put in, hopefully Pog and Scooters will come back and we can finally put a nail in the coffin after this whole horrible affair.

Happy birthday SOC!

Today I'm quite shocked in a positive (if not totally grin-inducing) way, since I've received the certificate for my Master's degree that the University had helpfully managed to lose, and realised I got a 'merit'!! To paraphrase G. Marx, I wouldn't particularly want to be awarded a 'Merit' by a university that would care to give me one, but perhaps it'd look half-decent on the ol' CV!

Happy birthday as well

Happy Birthday, Birthday-sharing-SOC!

(I are 32 today)

Must be the season. It was my birthday yesterday, and Graham Linehan's too apparently (writer behind Father Ted and Black Books and others). I had many grins.
