Good luck Andy and Ghosty. Aldi are supposed to be a very good employer I've heard and the wages are also very good.

Die Hard 3 has just started on the telly. 'GIVE ME YOUR PIES'.

We are spoiled with the quality and variety of films on telly these days. Granted, there's also a lot of rubbish, but in the olden days you'd have to wait for a public holiday for a decent film.

Now as a rule i don't take pictures of vehicles in driveways in case it leads to vehicle theft, but this is genuinely weapons grade mrs fp tried not to get the surroundings on as she took the picture, I genuinely have a want for this

Sing it with me

There's a starcraft sitting in the drive

It would like to come and meet us

And I bet it's shit to drive

Got a bit tipsy last night and ended up on a fairground ride in Nottingham's Old Market Square 'beach'.

After the ride ended, my mate tripped up as he got off and nearly fell over.

I was laughing so much, I subsequently tripped and properly fell over, landing in a heap by the fence whilst the 'ride manager' pissed himself. I carried on laughing.

This morning - bruised ribs (DRI - drink related injury).

Still funny though.

Good luck - I applied to be a postman today!

I was a Postal Operative* for a wee while, it's gr9 for keeping you fit but it's shit when it rains. Don't let any bastard managers bully you into overstuffing your bags, as they won't give a fuck if you damage your back. Shame they got rid of the Pashleys, they're proper bikeshite.

Seems I have a job interview at ALDI tomorrow.

Went well.

Will hear in about 5 days whether I've made the grade.

Braved advertising the Corsa on Gumtree. Every man and his dog were quick with the stupid offers (despite me saying I'd only listen to offers once it'd been viewed) and someone spent most of the entire weekend pestering me about it. They then came and viewed it last night, gave it all that 'I'll think about it and let you know' and drove off. Fifteen minutes after they went it sold for a close offer, and when I got back I had a message from the other bloke offering me about half the price. I messaged him back saying no chance, and he mailed again saying that's all it was worth.

Have now told him to take it up with the bloke who bought it. No reply since.

The Anglia pretty much had the same result, it's great when people play you for a fool then find out you're not.

I had reason to drive to Kettering yesterday, other than a long detour around Silverstone due to the GP, the drive was mostly uneventful, but for one thing.

I noticed the personalised plate of a car in front. W4 CKY. Wacky eh?

Wacky?

Wacky?

There is literally nothing more 'wacky' than this bad boy

My current job has me accustomed to the weather. I'm careful with my back as is, too. I know what I can carry.

I have a borked Pashley in my shed (but it's a yellow civilian one). Need to fix it at some point.

I didn't make the grade

Never mind though, it was just to get extra money so not too bothered.

Commiserations anyway Andy.  Job hunting these days is horrible.

I'm another year older today and I have spent it welding my capri in the sun, I really couldn't think of anything better to do, ive done the part ive been dreading, repairing the roof by the hinge as it had grot in, but it all went swimmingly I was expecting major warpage of the panel but it's not warped badly at all, I also welded the battery tray support back on as well, I did manage to break my co2 regulator but hey ho even replacing that ive saved more money than buying hobby bottles

Happy B day!

I can think of worse ways to spend the day. Being at work for one.

Sounds like yours had gone similar to mine. Mine was holed right through in the bit between both tailgate hinges, in the tailgate shut. There's a few panels all spot welded together there.

I got a good used section from another car for mine.

The inner skin wasnt bad to be fair, the rot appeared to start around that crap sealer that ford put in between the panels, the same as starts the wheel arches rotting, I bought a corner cut off another car which was absolutely spotless

This is all I had to cut out which I didn't think was bad to be fair considering its had rust there since I had the car 9 years ago

I think on mine it was the non original vinyl roof it used to have years ago, it looks like it'd leaked water into that area and rotted its way through.
