Finally found a bumper which isn't a smashed up piece of shit.

Finally found a bumper which isn't a smashed up piece of shit.

Just don't have it delivered or it will arrive a smashed up piece of shit. I had a customer order a bonnet for me to fit some years ago. When it arrived all 4 corners were bent double, most of the big national carriers seem to think it is their job to damage every box marked fragile.

just met a chap with a Rover/MG 75 estate. V8 with a supercharger! Cor, it did sound nice! Lovely supercharger whine as well, 4 exhaust pipes (what a child I am!) and a nice deep met blue. Older chap as well, he was extremely proud of it.

Note, proud of the car, not being old! :)

Appreciate your concern - but after last time's debacle my work schedule means I can't collect said bumper in person. It's insured for its full value should the worst happen.

Not sure a small rage explosion over Cambridgeshire would be covered under a premium parcel delivery, but three bumpers in, we can only hope.

I second that having seen the way the couriers handle stuff when delivering/picking up from my work. I wouldn't trust them for body panels or bumpers.

Not only that, but many/most couriers explicitly exclude car panels from any compensation.

Right.

For the last time: I'm already stressed, upset and brassic because of that stupid muntjac (and how impossibly hard it is to find an honest breaker's yard).

I don't have the time to collect in person. I cannot take another day off carting parts around; I was just about getting a handle on the situation and  do not need more worry over this. Cheers.
End of discussion on the matter, I'm afraid.

Fingers crossed it turns up in one piece. But if it's not something you want people expressing an opinion on, then it's probably best to not post about it on a public forum in the first place.

Yes, fair enough. I was assured the bumper was fully insured. The whole thing has done my swede in, soz.

I still can't quite believe how difficult it was to get an accurately described second hand bumper for a very common car in the second most common colour it's ever been sold in.

Maybe my incredulity has driven me mad. Maybe it's smoking away up my nose somewhere like some vile worry dog turd of peril.

Is it for the modern VAG SHITE?

Possibly. Individual bits = not that dear.

Sadly, any situation involving people is liable to be disappointing on some level.

I had a bonnet from gsf once, I say once, I had to refuse the first 3 because they had bent them. Number 4 was dent free, I just had to add 6mm to it to get a decent shutline

I believe the 260 was designed with a blower in mind, so the running gear takes 400bhp without issue. I'd love one, what's not to like the last gasp of a classic British maker with RWD, silly power & a noise to die for? I've been out in the only Mk1 260 estate & it was damn impressive, I'd love to see one with a blower.

I've found one of the three fly tippers on my hit list. It's the one who leaves the least amount of rubbish, but a small victory is better than no victory, and I've just paid their premises a visit to return the compliment.

Sadly, I still don't know what's happened to that muntjac carcass. Thet fit into a freezer ever so well, too...

Listed a dc04 for sale earlier and have got a dc50, a vax washer and 2 unknown dysons coming in this weekend for repair. Anyone would think I don't pimp my services on Facebook enough as it is!

DC04 hasn't sold though...
