Cavcraft Posted January 7, 2017 Posted January 7, 2017 I bloody love Roys and his unending desire to take over the whole town. Is Miss Roy still going? And Roys Toys?I bet it was a tough meeting where they finally had to let McDonalds use their own logo instead of branding it RoyDonalds. Roys Toys were last time we went. The main shop is a magnet for my missus whenever we go down that way. tooSavvy 1
Pillock Posted January 7, 2017 Posted January 7, 2017 That used to be our day out... Lived in a student house in Norwich with a girl from uni and the young vicar-girl who slept on our floor had a blue Nova saloon. She'd take us to Wroxham for a Maccies and we'd loiter for a while, despite there being signs all over the place saying NO LOITERING. We were like that. Wacky. I wonder what became of Charlotte, the goth vicar. She was brill.

xtriple Posted January 8, 2017 Posted January 8, 2017 Got my 'cheat' box back from Dave earlier, all repaired and much upgraded. Watched TGT and was disappointed for the second time in this series only one decent bit (by the stupendous Mr May) but then watched 'Passengers' which was rather good. I have also decided, after much debate, that J Lawrence is a bit of all right! Also went to the garage and had a word with the blokes digging the road up (yes, pretending to work on a Sunday... sat in the van actually, but close...) and they will be gone by the weekend they reckon so I should be able to get the car out... maybe. Good news is: my painted wing vents are a perfect colour match and so I now know that the nearest colour to Bentley Brewster Green is, Morgan Connaught Green. Who'd have thought it? myglaren 1

barmatt Posted January 9, 2017 Posted January 9, 2017 Had a 900 mile round trip this weekend to go to a mates funeral near Dundee (obv that's not the grin) we decided to take the Ford xploder as it would be ultimatley more comfortable for a long journey than anything else we have / could borrow, it returned a not too terrible 24.8mpg at 70ish mph. Quite pleased with that.

Cavcraft Posted January 9, 2017 Posted January 9, 2017 Just been to A&E (swollen tissues in my wrist) and although the queue was stupidly long, I was in/out in what seemed like no time.

Cheggers Posted January 10, 2017 Posted January 10, 2017 Following on from my recent travel woes, I spent Sunday night in the Radisson Hotel at JFK airport. I'm not saying the cleaning staff are careless, but they somehow managed to miss this "review" left by a previous occupant of my room in full view on top of the mirror frame Sent from my SM-A310F using Tapatalk Lacquer Peel, DeeJay, captain_70s and 12 others 15
Cheggers Posted January 10, 2017 Posted January 10, 2017 Also, I ended up taking the train from NY to Boston - the best $100 you can spend on travel...4 hours following the New England coastline. Truly magical. Sent from my SM-A310F using Tapatalk Sheefag and ChinaTom 2
xtriple Posted January 10, 2017 Posted January 10, 2017 What is this dodgy box you speak of? And where can a legitimate law abiding person buy one? For research purposes only you understand........ bought mine from a bloke called 'Dave' I met walking the dogs (sounds like a likely excuse doesn't it?) but they available on the bay but not sure you get all the stuff loaded on like mine. I know he sells 3 grades - £35 - £50 and £65 all pre loaded with KODI/Fire TV Guru which is what you want. It is good but as I am a computer numpty I like to take mine back tot his chap who updates it to all the latest stuff for a tenner a time.
