So drunk that I feel like I'm in the prodigys video for smack my bitch up

How do you feel now then? I SAID, HOW DO YOU FEEL NOW THEN?? Bright-eyed and bushy tailed? How about a nice, greasy fry-up?

Lobbed any half bricks through any Jag windows lately?

Oh, I love it when you have that drunk out-of-body thing going off! Like you're watching someone else's antics from their point of view. All the time thinking "Wow, he's a real twat - glad I'm not him, he's going to feel like shit in the morning and all those people he's upset - idiot"

I live in a shared house,I tend to stay out the way if I'm honest. Try not to cook here etc. But I've just found the joys of microwaved bacon!!

Was driving along tonight on a four-lane road with an intermittent median in the middle, I was in the left lane.  Out of the corner of my eye, I catch a Merc C-class on my left(?!?) attempting to pass me.

Then, like a lame stunt gone wrong, she hit the median in a shower of sparks as I veered into the (empty) right lane. Even got a little air time as well.  Tony Hawk would have been proud.

Hilariously enough, she managed to drive away with a smashed windshield, a flat tire, a badly clattering front axle, and a shower of steam from under the hood. Perhaps she deserved it for driving a bright red '90s Mercedes sedan...and being a moron.

Why were you in the outside lane if the inside lane was clear? It reads like both of you were driving like idiots.

I assumed America, ref hood, sedan, median etc

Yep I had factored that in.

I did that on line DVLA check thing last night and it seems my old beloved Vectra went straight through the test, with just one advisory. Random non-starting issues aside, that was an ace car and I'm made up for the lad who bought it that it's gone through another MOT.

Shit just got real, as DA YOOT haven't said for some considerable time.  Professional indemnity/public liability insurance has been purchased.

A friend sold up and moved to run a b and b in Keswick earlier this year, unfortunately he recently got flooded out. The grin is his Nissan X-trail also got drowned, the insurance have made an offer of £2000 for a 05 car with a wanked wheel bearing on SORN he paid less for a couple years ago and didn't want anyway!

I noticed a lot of people were leaving their tat in low lying areas hoping for a claim.

Gave the MoT computer a check over and installed updates this morning, I thought I'd have a quick look because I don't think it ever gets turned off.

I've had suse servers running for over a year without a reboot. Eventually I put a weekly cron reboot in just to clear dead processes, but a well sorted Linux box will run forever.

Re: What's the longest-running Linux machine you know of?
I know of a server, running with Slackware and non-stop since over nine years now. Not bad at all. icon_smile.gif

Yeah, I think the near-vintage acer laptop will give up before the OS gets unstable from use.

Someone on Eastenders has just pulled up in a Mk1 Astra, with Nova Sri wheels with one of the centre caps missing.

Friend in Keswick now taking bookings for his parking place, hoping to offset the cost of the uninsured house.....

My mate is a truck mechanic, he texted me to ask if he could drop by as he had a present for me.

He was having a clean up at work and they were throwing out lots of stuff, among which was a pair of front doors for a ford Thames 400e

They're much straighter than mine so I'll blast them and see how they look

Mrs dodgys Peugeot was making some odd noises and occasionally not charging. Found reason whypost-19511-0-60912000-1451939395_thumb.jpg

Reason for grin is that unlike what I would of expected of late, I actually caught this literally a couple of miles before the cambelt would of fallen off ☺

For those who have no knowledge of XUD Pugs this is a picture of the crank pulley with the bolt nearly undone

May have purchased some bits for the ZX to enter the GLF club.

I know this place isn't modyourretroride.Cum.

I just find something appealing about a car that cost nothing, looks like shit, is well out of date, but not yet appreciated, but has all the GLF.

I watched my Christmas DVDs.

Villain was pretty good, although I've seen it before.

Lovejoy gets duffed up and then bummed by Richard Burton's character.

Tinker could not save him this time.

There's  an exciting chase scene involving a Jag and an old Austin Princess.

Oh, and Fiona Lewis shows off her perfect bazookas.

Nice...

Canary Wharf is full of Bankers who accentuate their individuality by driving a dark grey Audi, Bmw, or Mercedes. But today ladies and gentlemen I found this in the Cabot Square car park. Feast your eyes on this slice of fried WIN!

This man or woman is truly a Master of the Universe!post-3538-0-02842300-1452000032_thumb.jpeg
