I think I've still got a steering wheel and pedal set-up for an original Xbox. I may even have the original Xbox somewhere, though I doubt that.

I have some alcohol tasting to do as well.  Ms C is opening a cocktail bar in the near future so spent yesterday looking for interesting bottled beer to serve to the folks that don't like spirits.  She likes the sound of Brewdog so gave them a ring to ask about trade prices and whatnot and they are sending us a box of beer as a free sample to see which variety we want  :D

Originally Peterhead but they moved down to a brand new building on the north side of Ellon when Aberdeenshire council got pissy about their expansion plans.

I just watched 2001: A Space Odyssey for the first time in years.

I'd forgotten how awesome that film is.

That cut from bone in the air to ship moving through space...genius.

I need some clevis type thingies to connect the park brake cable to the operating arm in the drum.

Simple thing but it doesn't seem to have a name so searched on various terms.......during these searches found a very useful cable fitting called.......

Nipple Trumpet.

Been teaching my 10 year old nephew how to drive on the farm roads. He is actually pretty good. Delicate clutch control is hindered by every vehicle in stock having a heavy as fook clutch pedal which his little legs can barely press to the floor.

He got it up to third gear on the straight, can now do basic hill starts and can reverse. He has a little chinese quad and a cart thing I cobbled together out of dead sans-permis cars, but both are single-speed with a variator and centrifugal clutch so no use for him practicing in.

£17.08 in tax back for my written off Astra. Every little helps.

Now to sell the EGR valve and wheel bearing I never fitted.

Porsche is sold, pending a bank transfer. A bit less than I wanted but the MOT can be measured with an egg timer so can't complain too much...

An AA mechanic has been branded a 'hero' after fixing a broken down Land Rover - with a POTATO

Mario said: "As the vehicle was on a farm, there were a lot of vegetables around, so I thought I'd try wiring up a potato with a couple of screws to act as a condenser.

"Amazingly, it started instantly, so I followed the member to the garage and he said the vehicle had never driven so well.

Sweet. Brewdog Punk IPA is my favourite beer of evar :)

Posted

It's real good stuff but it needs to come in proper size bottles. 330ml is good for fuck all, but I suppose if you are selling it in a bar at £6 a go then it's ideal.

Posted

The Brewdog Bar has all their draft beer in wired sizes like 2/3 of a pint and 1/4 flaggon.

You can buy bottles as well but they're not as much as £6.

I can get 660ml bottle of punk IPA in sainos for 2.50, much more satisfying

It's arrived but I'm on duty as a wedding driver tomorrow so beer sampling is waiting till the weekend ;)

Most of it is sensible money so we shouldn't need to charge too much.

I have broached the idea that a pub landlord needs a jag but as it's been pointed out.  It's a very small bar with a 60's theme so our purple Austin 1100 with green leather interior should be bob on once I've fixed it.

"Interesting" launch day entertainment can be arranged if needed! (Now with added fire play)

I'm intrigued,  Ms C looks worried :)

Tis a bugger that there's no car park

I saw my first "15" plate yesterday, a beavertail on tradeplates. It trundled past me in the car park of The Green Welly Shop in Tyndrum, I didn't get a shot of it nor the make. :-(

I've not seen one yet but we've got one on order at work,  it's a V******l Vivaro

Coco Deville and freinds. (Brighton branch)

Sounds ace and we'll defo have burlesque on at some point soon but probably not at the opening.

Burlesque=good .......especially with some sleazy jazz/blues. Very popular on the 40s scene happily

However quite a few turn out to be burly esque which is less good
