My local Autosupplies is great. Today, I didn't even need to tell them which car I was buying bits for, and they were already reaching for The Book before I'd even said what I wanted. One cork top gasket £1.29, but I had no change so we topped it up to the minimum spend with some silver fat-and-thin vinyl coach stripe they had in the back room. I made a website for Retro Rides that let you upload images and put your advert details in. It then it generated the BBCode to build your whole advert. It even put it in your clipboard so all you needed to do was paste it into a board post. Even that was too complex for many.

 

I ended up taking it down as I thought that running an unmonitored service that let you host images on the web without registering probably wasn't a very good idea.

In the last few days Google Street View has updated it's maps in my area, fortunately it was back in July on what looks like one of the best days this year, although it looks like i was out at work that day I was pleased to see this Ford Zephyr (I think) at the end of my road that i haven't seen before.

Well in addition to the warning light on the dash, and the double speed clicker on that side I found that the car flashes the tailight to make up for it!

How cool is that?

 

Also, Layer Cake is on the telly.

 

And I have a selection of rum finish whiskys in front of me.

 

And I may be going to the Balvenie distillery next week.
