Mikey telling Albert to 'grow up'. The irony of this has not been lost I can assure you.

I really don't know whether to laugh or cry at the new Jonno-esque character on the Practically Classic forum...

Just watched the footage of WRC Rally Jordan. Corking stuff and only 0.2 seconds between the first two drivers at the end!

DAY OFF (yay).

Located a s***p c****r in Urmston - having that. A bloke wants some bits off the white 480 (doors made of cloud \ ambitious strippers notwithstanding). Finally found a buyer for the B16 Ruddspeed head, he wants to give the asking price and is happy to have it posted (bloody good job, because it's in Sweden).

Spent the rest of the day sorting Uni odds and ends out, did some idents for my mate's show.....and then fired up my stereo. I have been listening to my back catalogue of CDs most of the day. It's ages since I ran my stereo properly. It's not an amazing spec, but it's better than the majority of micro system pish you get from Curry's. It comprises:

NAD C542 CD player

NAD C320 BEE amplifier

Marantz DD82 DCC player (of which I've lost the JJ Cale album for, shatbiscuits).

Van Den Hul 'The Name' interconnects

IXOS QED 2 interconnects

Technics SL 1210 Mk2

ProJect Phono Box SE preamp

Yamaha KXW321 cassette deck

Grado SR 80 headphones

Mission M73 floorstanders

Had a (comparatively) massive CD collection (1000+) 6 or 7 years ago, sold most of it when Lancaster got too much. Also had an EL 5 Elcaset separate, but that got binned by my spiteful bint of a housemate. Got another one, that got stolen, as did my SR 125 cans and OBH 21 headphone pre amp.

Anyway, music at home............indeed.

Impressive setup considering your only CD is a single of Doop.

Least I know who nicked it now.

Also, photo editing. Furthermore, borrowed cameras. Lent my mate's Canon D70 and it's AMAZING.

Sounds like a great separates set up, Watanabe. I need to buy a new CD player (after house fire fucked it up, and also damaged various expensive CDs), although thankfully my amp still functions long with my cassette player. I like the NAD stuff.

Stripping down the MG Metro today, when my Mum and Dad came around to say hello. Whilst chatting away I glanced at the front of the car and something caught my eye poking out to the side of the rad. What the fook is that!? Looks like a lump of wood.... Delved my hand under the bonnet and found this...

After 9 weeks, umpteen phone calls, 4 visits and 3 incorrectly ordered parts, Dimplex have finally managed to mend my broken fire - thats only two years old anyway.

If that were a 1.3 I think we might as well have closed the site down as it would simply never get any better

The more I look at it the more I think that Sierra might be my old one. The reg looks familiar (and is a Norwich plate). I bought mine in 2000; I have no recollection of what I ended up doing with it, so if it is the same one I've no idea how it ended up in Hackney. I wasn't familiar with the base model at the time - I thought the grey grille was a replacement that nobody had bothered to paint.

Started my new job at o2 yesterday, already liking it a lot. I'll admit, a fair few people hate the thought of even working in retail, but I am fine with it. May as well stick to something I am good at, for now anyway. Got the most hours out of all the new people too.

Anyway, went to Alton today, and I had always dismissed it as being awful for shite spotting. Obviously not!

Jesus! No, not mine! How the frig has that stayed in there? As you say it appears to have been there for some time! And how did I not notice it?!

Just changed to o2 for my mobile. GR16 stuff. All the BlackBerry services work as they should, no notifications get missed (and I don't miss out on any of Trigger's Facebook musings!), email 100%
