What makes you grin? Antidote to grumpy thread

I doubt that any self-respecting pikey would be knocking about in an fso, round here you can spot em a mile off, brand new cage-sided transits are de rigeur.

Must be a brave non-travelling man to try and gather metal around there though. At best they'll end up sans vehicle and teeth...

Kev from Wales has just been up, if there's a more toppermost dude on the interwebz I've yet to meet him. His Iveco powered hillbilly (F150?) pick-up is something else too.

Around here they mostly use Transits as well, but very ropey old F-P reg ones. Although there is one who knocks around Southend in a W reg MK2 Transit pickup!

I agree the FSO was a bit of an oddity. It was the same colour as this one, but with steel sides and I think the radiator grille was missing as well. And yeah it was literally on the main road outside Dale Farm.

Saw him (KFW) in it last week, presumably it's still carrying a random load of wheels and tyres?

A random axle, two wheels, a plastic load cover thing, various amounts of spilt engine/gearbox oil and now a metal olde fashioned garage shelving unit ram full of old tat from my garage.

He has another engine lined up for it now too, undoutably all will be revealed on RR at some point.

Probably a random but different load of wheels and tyres. KFW, spreading diesel all over the internet since 1856

I saw a Bristol parts van heading in the direction of Kensington High Street this morning, bearing the Bristol logo and signwritten with something like 'manufacturers of fine automobiles'.

It was a mk4 Escort van.

Just thought I'd share that.

Finally getting a wireless adaptor for my 360 and some more brochures such as the Alfa 159 and Fiat 500. I actually asked for a Panda one, but never mind.

Insuarance renewal. No, really. Got the XR2 covered for £130 :D and the Alfa for £430, which considering next best was nearly £600, isn't too bad.

Savings=more cash 4 tat!

Lol yeah and the other one who 'won' the same car!

Why do Americans think that anyone who doesn't have a Confederate flag in the rear window of their F150 is a communist?

Anyway back to topic, Today whist coming out of a fancy dress shop a few street back i heard this lovely sounding engine note, turned around to be confronted by this stunning looking pastel green 50's classic car being driven by a old boy, No idea what it was apart from it having ISIS on the back, A quick google later at it would appear to be one of these.

GR8 - I have an interview offer

Not gr8 - I applied so long ago I can't remember what the job involves and the vacancy no longer appears where I first found it

326 bhp, 378 lb ft.

Every weekend it makes me grin.

There's just *something* about a Jag, even a knackered old 2.9 XJ40 with cloth seats that my pal got free gratis. This is fubar, has about 40BHP and changes gear when IT feels like it. But, it has that Jaaaaaaag factor.

Maybe it involves having your ass wirebrushed by a flat-chested bolemic woman whilst leaning nekkid against your rental car? Could be an opening in that profession....

Nah, I don't want my personal and professional life to mix

No, I reckon they find it easy - there are no loose rocks that are likely to come down and brain them.
