Yesterday I went to collect another car from BCA.Now most of the parkway system around here is dual carriageway except a two mile stretch near my village.Coming in the opposite direction of this single carriageway was a lorry with a big newish silver Merc straddling the white line itching to overtake. The car a little way infront of me had to pull towards the kerb to avoid this twat.My passenger and I laughed as I steered two tonnes of twenty year old Discovery towards the centre of the road. The look on Merc-man's face was not "get out of my way,I'm important" but more "oh shit,I'd better get back to my side of the road" It was definitely the wide eyed expression on his face that made us laugh.

A kid in my class was being bullied on a regular basis at the bus stop. One day he had enough, walked over to the lead bully, smashed his head into the bus shelter then walked off without saying a word. They left him alone after that.

Although when I tried to fight back against the kids that had bullied me for years I just ended up getting a kicking. And a weeks worth of detention.

That's what absolutely should happen!

Sadly, this is more representative of what does.

Justice? Pah!

Wallpapering? I've just spent 2 days repointing the fireplace and the chimney breast! (I suspect blackleg miner might have been a more appropriate song)

House rule - no playing with toys until important stuff is done....

Norm, congratulations on the pun of the day!

I actually own a car that can accelerate uphill! This is quite a novel experience. Where I used to live, there were no hills, and since moving, I've not owned anything that actually had power. Yeah, the Scimmie's brakes are still a bit too intermittent for my liking, but by jove does it make a nice noise when you're giving it the beans. I can see the locals getting very quickly fed up with my new car.

A few weeks ago someone on freecycle was offering a set of "80's Ford Escort lights" for free so i dropped an email saying I'd have then but forgot about it.

Last night i got a email from them asking if i still wanted them and if i did they would drop them round mine, even though i live the other side of town to them, I got home tonight to find a pair of 90's Spec tinted Sierra or Sapphire rear lights and a clear front indicator for the same car sat in my porch.

They aren't of much use to me though seeing i own a Escort!

The fact that St Patrick's day was a weekday this year. All being well this will mean I won't have to wade though scores of fucking bellends who are head to toe in Guiness advertising pretending to be Irish, despite the fact they probably couldn't find the fucking place on a map.

Just been reading a bit about Dilly Keane of

:
Keane often travels for her work, and has said that she particularly enjoys working in Ireland, her country of origin.

She drives a Ford Transit: "I'm colossally uninterested in cars... but vans are different. They're incredible fun to drive. You are practically always the bigger dog. People always back up in small country lanes to let you pass. And even lorry drivers are much nicer; they'll flash you to let you in."

Potential honorary autoshiter ?

Just come back from the land of Londinium after picking up a 1990 Rover 820E. The car is actually a mates who asked me to pick it up as he didnt have time, he has also kindly lent it to me until I get my Sterling sorted, so I'll be tooling around this for bit. I've never driven a single-point 2.0 800. And what a strange experience it was, sitting in a under-powered 800 where the petrol gauge doesnt fall down every time you press touch the accelerator :lol:

Its a nice old bus that has a bit of poke though its gonna take a a bit of getting used to the, the engine kind of sounds like a cross between a sowing machine and a Montego 1.3  I'll be giving it a valet inside and out (Needs it more inside than out :? ) and fettling a few bits here and there.

In other news, earlier this week I swapped a car CD player for a whole PC which included flat-screen moniter/keyboard and tower with my cousin, he's not much of a computer bloke but is into his cars/car stereos so he's happy and so am I. Switched the computer on to find a nice fresh copy of Windows XP, it runs nice and fast. Not swapped anything over yet apart from the moniter as it saves deskspace.

Great, finally, some good stuff has happend!

Suddenly not being able to log into my mail.com email address as I'm told my stored password is invalid. Try to reset it, click "answer security question" then to be told I haven't answered it correctly without even being given an input box. Click on "contact us" to get an automated response giving you the same link to reset a password I've just been trying. Click on the "next" button and nothing happens but taking you to the same screen again.

So I've found the address so contact the customer service team - "it may take up to 10 business days for your inquiry to be dealt with". So now I have no way of accessing my email
