A couple of local lads are doing the 4L Trophy next year. They turned up at my local bar touting for sponsorship and flogging 4L trophy trinkets to raise funds.

For those not aware of the 4L Trophy it's a charity event where students have to take 50kg of school supplies to somewhere in the arse end of Morocco.

Their van is in superb condition, I hope it returns in one piece.

I wonder what'll happen when they run out of Renner 4s ?

What would it's successor be ? The Twingo ? I don't think that would cope with the Moroccan desert so well.

Most were about being in the local dramatic club, but always look at the reverse of the clip. I found 2 worth keeping !

The suicide doors were retained on the 500 Giardiniera, long after other 500s had switched to front-hinged doors.

 

There's been a white Giardiniera sitting half-hidden in a garage near my office for years. Think its owner gave up trying to put it back on the road.

About 18 years ago I worked in a place fixing up old computers. In the classroom had a network, we played Quake on it.

 

Usernames were needed. Someone said Alabama Shrimp is a pizza topping, it was funny and it stuck.

 

Couple of the others were Mr Lovepants, apperently its a record, Wu tang, because he hated it and er can't remember the others.

The cost of a Simca Vedette today in NZ  is GBP 2500, but it looks quite solid and the engine is likely to be recoverable. This has been on sale for YEARS.

Just watching Coast Australia. Neil Oliver did a bit on the Robe South Aus. bowling club. One of the little old grey haired bowlers hopped in her car to go home. A 1975 Holden Torana SS V8 with what sounded like not much mufflers. Her comment "it's grunty but a bit noisey". That made me grin !

Not a late one.  About eight years old, to replace her 12 tear old one.

She doesn't like them but they are cheap and practical for her current needs.  She would much prefer a SAAB 900 or a Rover 75.
