Drove a modern car (a 14 plate) that brought a smile to my face - a first for a great many years! Nippy, handled well, fairly comfortable for a small car, decent ride and a fantastic soundtrack. What was it, you may ask? A Fiat Panda 4x4 Twinair! Completely unexpected, and when they get older I may just have to consider one!

Went to pick up a set of wheels from down south off a very nice bloke from the capri forum earlier and when I got there he let me look around his capris

 

 

 

 

 

I saved the best till last, a capri cameo 1.3

 

 

 

 

Now for the money shot just look at the crossflow

 

On the way there I spotted a Citroen grave yard so stopped on the way back, I didn't go right in the yard incase I offended someone

 

 

When I got home I cleaned and fitted the wheels, they are rs accessory 15x7 7 spokes intended for the sierra range

Christ those Capris!! I love that 1300 one though, nice to see there’s the odd one still left like that. The little X flow looks almost lost in the bay.

They remind me of the RS Starfish but bigger. A touch big for a Saph to my eyes, but I bet it'll stick like glue on them.

Here's the rs accessory catalogue ive got, the 17s and softline version came a little later, mine are the correct sierra ones part number 5050065 they were available with the rs centre cap or the ford centre cap

 

 

Look at how ford shamelessly flipped the picture on the mk2 hatch middle picture hoping that no one would notice even though the sweep of the rear wiper is the wrong way and the exhaust is on the wrong side, im confused at why none of the cars except the red orion and blue escort hatch have side repeaters on and thats only on the pictures with the accessories on but not in the before picture

Ended up atop Moel Famau today sitting peacefully above the clouds with classic FM on in the car park , dropped a group off who were doing a walk. Pair of blondes turn up in a freelander 2 and start panicking and frantically looking under the bonnet, I chivalrously offered to help and it became clear that the wipers wouldn't turn off , one underbonnet fuse pulled and job jobbed, I pointed clearly where it needed to go back in, they drove off half an hour later in the pissing down rain without replacing it ...............
