What makes you grin? Antidote to grumpy thread

Having had a grump about micro blister on the Mazda yesterday, today I have a grin about it. I have managed to get rid of about 90% of them by heating the area with a towel soaked in boiling water and left on the area, repeat a few times. Not completely gone, but good enough even for a fussy twat like me. Did involve a bit of rubbing action which fealt a bit like work but hey, can't have everything! :)

Made it to France and back to retrieve Parkette who was suffering on a school trip. Came home to find she had a £25 win on the premium bonds and Mrs P got a couple of hundred refund cheque from the inland revenue!

Has the school got cover to pay for this eventuality - after all it was their failure to provide the appropriate staff that led to you having to retrieve her yourself? What would they have done if you couldn't have got her?

My kids aren't going on the France trip as their school isn't competent to look after a pet rabbit let alone kids in a foreign country.

This is something under discussion. The school are claiming we hadn't made them aware of Parkettes issues (basically yeah we have her file but hadn't read it) but to be honest getting her home and settled was the priority. I will consider if it is worth pursuing any sort of refund, I suspect it is pointless and I can't see turning the college tutors against her will help her future grades shall we say.....

EDDY - yup, she is much happier now. Being back in her usual surroundings helps heaps. Sometimes she copes so well we kind of forget her issues until one day they make themselves very much known again. This week was one of those times sadly.

Parky I'm sorry for you and Parkette jnr, having to deal with the situation, not that that really helps :(

I seem to have developed a stomach ulcer. This is far from grin-worthy.

I drink to relax, it is very very rare I don't have a few beers or cans of cider or a bottle of wine in the evening. I'm probably dependent but whatevZ. I cannot drink any of these drinks it seems without the ulcer taking serious umbrage and putting me in agonizing pain for the entire evening and most of the night. Again, not grin worthy material.

However, I read on an NHS web page that while cider, beer and wine making it hurt like mad (yeah, I'd gathered); spirits do not.

So here I am with a bottle of rum, to sip without very much pain at all! I even got myself a mini bottle of Kraken rum that I'm about to try. Hooray! I can still drink!

Tell me I'm sinical or sarcastic, but for the life of me I cannot remember ever seeing free range sausages roaming the fields anywhere.

Because of my photographic memory it means I retain useless/useful information so I did a little grin to myself when I saw this Micra on the bay of E's earlier.

Because of the 'ELK' plate and the fact it has the unusual front fogs I remembered that it was the very same Micra that I parked next to whilst visiting the Haynes Museum in 2014.

I identified the baddie fairly early on in the film from his inlet plenum.

What sort of reverse camera did you fit?

It was one that goes with the android double din headunit like this one not the same head unit but the camera is

Pretty much the same

If you look at the rear pic of the car, I fitted it on the duster trim which has the boot lock in, i mounted it on the flat of it underneath So bracket and wiring is as hidden as possible

Sold the Monet Goyon today for 700 quid. What with flogging the mobylette for 225 I have nearly made enough to cover the costs of collecting the Hearse. Which is handy as it looks like I need a 300 quid servo for the bloody thing on top of the 300 quid for an exhaust that still hasn't been shipped.
