Chaps,

Wanted to say hello, long time lurker and all that.

For many years I've wandered from bad car to bad car, (all modern shite I'm afraid) wondering why I was the only one in the village with one car up on stands while the other is running around with a knackered gearbox and a bright red space saver (Renault why you do this to me?). Why couldn't I be normal and just have a golf on lease? or a Qashcow with suitably conformist 18 inch wheels and a sticker in the back window of a stick family.

Well, it turns out I am not alone! Autoshite hath shon it's beacon of hope through my screen and has saved me from damnation.

I hope to be joining in with many roffles and contributing my own tales of woe.

So, without further ado here is a picture of my life. (two screaming children and disapproving Mrs Kringle out of shot)

Also, as an example of my fine fettling, may I present a fractured and  leaking expansion tank repaired by badly plastic welding a Lidl mushroom pot (other retailers are available). Am I in?

Save you from damnation ? Unlikely... Didn't you notice the phrase "lasciate ogni speranza, voi ch'entrate" in your registration confirmation email ?

It's worth mentioning that before joining Autoshite, I only owned one car...

No doubt you will soon enjoy* one of the irritatingly frequent threads on what 'qualifies' as shite. Age is often considered the main criteria, and some would argue that an '04 and an '05 are practically brand new; however, the Renault gets in due to it's handsomeness and reliability*, and the Mazda just scrapes through on account of the likelihood that it'll be as rusty as a much, much older car.

[insert joke about an expansion tank not having mushroom in it]

Anyone who drives a Vel Satis will fit in here perfectly  :)

Given your the quality of your conveyances I take it welding and fault diagnosis are your forte? Welcome.

Hello fella! you must be glutton for punishment, youve bought 2 family car specimens which would be shite enough alone, but together create a horrendous complication of flaky french electrics and wiring, and rotten rusty Japanese tin, rather than save yourself the grief and just buy a mk4 Mondeo or an Avensis, but that would be boring, top shiteing :D

Must admit i do love the styling of both veeeehikals.

Thank you my friends, thank you.

Yes, I fully appreciate that they are modern shite. Sadly Mrs Kringle wishes that children be placed in at least a 4 star ncap car. I believe that if you just hold on tighter things will pan out just fine, but what do I know?

Is this rusty enough to be considered shite?
