I had a moment of inspiration earlier, and sent my guess to 320T, I got the model right, I think, but the body style wrong!

Now I know what it is, it's even more hilarious!

It is a strange choice for a WRC car indeed - in fact probably the last one you would expect. The only reason it clicked for me was that 1/18 versions regularly come up for sale on Facebook model car pages.

^^^ If you've seen the video circulating of a baffled mechanic peeling off large sections of corroded metal from the underside of one of these using only his bare hands... then you'll understand why they can be had so cheap.

EDIT: As Billy's now confirmed via livecam exactly what Lady Luck* has landed in his lap, there's no fear now of spoiling anyone's fun... so here's the link to the video mentioned.

Actually, watching that might spoil someone's day...

Hopefully the Cannock Calamity ain't reaching these levels of calamatatiousness. Yet.

^^^ Will post the link after the big reveal!!! Just found it again, it's on Arsebook rather than Youtube.

EDIT: if you absolutely can't wait, go to Keltec Performance Powerflow Leeds, select 'Video' on their Facebook homepage, then enter the make and model in the 'search' box of what you think is winging its way to Chez Cav as we speak. They have a huge number of videos, but there's only one video of this make and model.

Standout quote: "As you can see, it's actually the underseal that's holding the car together."

I don’t know, Clive. I’m guessing it’s probably 1.5-2 hours from there to here, and will probs depend what truck he’s using and butty stops etc.

Looks like the rear window stays up now anyway.

I actually think that for £350 + £30 fee, this was a proper bargain if it is good to be used for a couple of years.

Of course it may only be fit for scrap but an MOT till November suggests some use can be got from it.

Only significant advisories are brakes and a tyre, looks alright that.

Cant believe these are so cheap now. I recall a girl I used to work with got one of these when they were new and we thought she must have been earning way over the odds!

Can't find it for love nor money.  Possibly harder to find on mobile Arsebook?

Edit.  Found it by scrolling through them all.   Holy Guacamole!  That is just unbelievable.  Was it parked in the sea?!?!
