I think I've finally decided its time to get rid of the Westfield. Its now been sat in the garage 6 years and untouched since lockdown, even before COVID it only used to do a few miles a gear. I've barely used it in 10 years now

Just need to decide if I try and get it running and MOTd or just get rid as is (as always I guess it will come down to money and motivation!)

Photos before it got dusty and cobwebby!

GOOD NEWS. Rover garage, Gingernutzz and I have all come to the same conclusion that the welding on the 75 the subframe is indeed perfectly fine and with a tidy up will be good for a while yet. Must have caught the tester on a bad day.

Should be ready for end of next week, I'm in no rush though.

@LightBulbFun can you find any info about this other JSK reg please? Owner asked earlier.

JSK849 is part of the JSK801-900  age related plate series block allocated to Central London LVLO in 1991

I'd go with French diplomatic car. I had a CX once with an oval green plate and CD letters (corps diplomatique).

I think it's a Spanish temporary plate used during the import/export process until the permanent reg is issued in the country the car is moving to? I had a Dutch one when I bought my Alfa over there.

No there was a small thermal event several years ago when the brass cover departed the carb but filter (and brass cover) now replaced.

Went to a local breakfast car meet on Sunday. Disappointingly they had no gluten free option. So my wife went hungry while I stuffed a bacon/egg/sausage bap in front of her.

Pictures uploaded in random order.

Nicely done. One of the ECJ crew also bought along the brand new Prelude, interesting to see and something to consider in 10-20 years?....

These Lancer estates seemed a bit out of time even in the early '00s. This one neatly picks up on the look of the Evo Wagon.

I blame Mrs P, she's always putting seeds and fat balls out for the birds, also nuts for the squirrels. It just a shame they use my car as the khazi, not hers.

Prodded a hole in the upper suspension arm on my Rover 75 the other day whilst checking it over for an MOT. Got a new one and took the old one off today. Bit of a pain with seized nuts. Should go back together easier.

Sprayed wax into the new one and gave it a paint. Waiting for a drop link then will put it back on.

Nice pic I’ve pinched from Citroen classics of the car on Saturday too.

It's parked under a tree, I think the birds take the stuff Mrs P puts out for them on the bird table up into the tree, have a nice lunch, then just crap straight on to my car beneath them. Trouble is with all 4 kids having cars, my van and car, the family car and SLK, we're a bit full up at the moment, as the Passat gets used the least, it gets dumped under the tree.

Maybe a cats the way forward, or some of the kids buggering off, so I've more driveway space and I can turn one of their bedrooms in to a sex dungeon or something.....

I can sympathise, my Skoda’s even worse. I have no option but to park under a tree full of bloody pigeons. Getting fuel today, woman in front said, “the birds love your car”, I just managed to reply yes, rather than fuck off.

That could have been an open goal for you with the lass at the petrol station mate!

Whatever the birds are crapping out is incredibly sticky, earlier, in a brief moment of care, I jump started it, as the fuckers always flat, and took it to the local petrol station with a jet wash. £4 later and it hardly touch it, tried the high pressure hose, hot soapy brush thing and scraping it with my bank card, it was stubborn as owt to remove. I think I'll soak some TFR in to it before I try again.

Oh and just to be a twat, as I pulled back up under the tree, it started doing a DPF regen, so I had to take it back out again for a blast down the dual carriageway. Does it not realise how expensive diesel is these days.....

In no way could she be described as a lass! Picture 16 stone , 50 something, baseball cap and 2008 Astra.

Anyway, you’re right. It’s gonna need TFR and G101 to cut through this level of shit.

She sounds right up my street mate! Just the kind I want in my sex dungeon 🤣.

I'm sure I've got some TFR somewhere in the garage, maybe even some out of date Turtle Wax cutting paste - thanks for the tip.

They always bring more with MOT. It's probably worth the effort.  Be out of reach of my pocket unfortunately.

Six years is a good while though. Show us the cobwebs please.

yeah I just don't know if I can be bothered to be honest. I've 5 other cars to work on.  Maybe if there's no interest I'll have to get an MOT on it but I'd hoped pricing it what I think is a couple of grand down on the fully sorted price might tempt someone

More dust than cobwebs on first inspection
