Helped me with queries a fair few times 👍

But would you let me in your house though?

Rubber seal? I’m not sure it’s even got one.

That could well be the problem

The mini drove for the first time since 1992 today, out of the garage, turned it around and back in, ok, it has no front wings/interior etc etc. But it starts, has 60lbs of oil pressure at tick over and moves, selects gears and has brakes. I’m counting that as a win anyway.

Bingo! That’s why it lets water in.

Yours is missing the rubber seal that the aluminium strip holds in place.

Went to Llandudno fireworks, it was crazy busy, so the only parking was miles away, not ideal with two small children…

So instead we just drove up and down the front where the fireworks were best viewed from with the roof down… the kids loved it!

Off tomorrow for a week working in Aberdeen.

@Saabnut @Supernaut and any other shiters up that way, anything worth doing of an evening while I'm up there? Apart from drinking heavily 🙈

Watch the cars rust while drinking lightly?

Erm... hmmm.

Stare at the clock until it's time to leave?

I live a good few miles outside Aberdeen, and try to stay away as much as possible these days. Best thing that happened to the place is the bypass. Means I can just go straight to Dundee instead.

The only reason I go in to Aberdeen these days is to visit the hospital :-) But if you get bored you are welcome to visit here, look at chod and drink (tea obvs)

There's three cinemas, one in Union Square, one on Ship Row and one down at the beach. The one at the beach has free parking if you need to drive.

When I was a teenager my mate's father had one of those and it had a ride like no other. We all relaxed into the very softest, most comfortable seats ever and the car wafted smoothly along but every time it changed gear we all seemed to sit momentarily bolt upright before slumping back down again!

You’d probably fall through the floor in this one. No metalwork below the bumpers I could see.

It had an MoT back in 2017, its last. Welding was done on a sill and a bit of chassis. There should be a reduced test for these older cars, brakes, lights, suspension, tyres, and a look around for severe corrosion.

Tbf, these were not rustprone for the time. Vauxhall made a much better quality body with the FB than the F. I suppose they had to after that debacle. But it's 60 years old now. One of these was the first car I rode in at over 70. It was a family friend's VX 4/90, and he gave me a lift when I was 9 or 10

In the pic you can see the shadow under the nearside rear corner where there is no body left. Wing looks frilly from twenty feet.

I’m glad it’s there though. Makes a change from the millionaire apartments and electric things I’d been walking past earlier

I think they are cars you'd need to buy with as little rust as possible, I don't think there's much support for old Vauxhall's.🙁

Which is a shame, as lots of them are as good or better than the equivalent Ford.

It is a shame, I don’t think I’d even seen one of these before.
