A guy I know as ‘Geordie Alan’ just pulled up alongside me in the village. I’ve known him for about 5 years, always has an immaculate Renault Clio - washed and waxed every week.

Only he was driving an MG-TF today. He’s had it from new - 55reg - and just look.

It’s never failed one. I imagine it’s locked up for 6 months of the year, and comes out when the sun shines. A rare occurrence, judging by the weeds in my garden and the 1,000 miles a year he seems to be doing in it.

I’ll be asking him for first refusal. What are the 135s like compared with MGFs and MX5s?

I do hope you say “shite”...

Just swapped my Lotus and 2cv around, I have a long double garage as opposed to a wide one. Annoyed that the lotus now has a blowing exhaust, but the 2cv started but a bit smokey. Hopefully it'll gain an mot in April, the last it will need.

Got a MOT reminder off the expenses system at work so checked if it was right. MOT on the GSX14 runs out today, best divert via the garage in the morning then...

The CX is sort of back to normal, although closer inspection of the trans fluid level revealed nothing more than a suggestion of fluid down there. Access is comically awkward because French and I didn't have a filler neck with a small enough diameter to fit into the hole. I tipped about half a litre of fresh Dexron III into the hole, and another half all over the driveway. There are greasy slicks on the paving; hopefully we might get some more rain....

I am going to try some of that Lucas Auto Trans Fluid Conditioner and see if that stuff works.

Forgot to mention that whilst trying to fiddle some access to the gearbox fluid filler hole, I must have dislodged some wiring as the horn now works again!

Had chance to look at bosses car... thought id chop off the plug and add own wire and connectors... now hes very happy with 4 speed fan... crappy sxi corsa c

After 9 months of dwindling mental health today I finally got a grip of what was going on.

I’m back to Autoshite now and have a photo of me telling the world that I’m in control, with my E34 in the background. Best thing I have done this year was get this on the road.

Glad you’re feeling more like yourself, John. I’m sure many on here can empathise with struggles like this.

Looking forward to seeing more on the E34 ????

Mines started this year at £145 a month!

Mines £66 a month & that's way too much to just get a bin emptied twice.

£147 a month - in a privately managed estate (not as posh as it sounds - Gloucester Docks is owned by the waterways trust) where I don’t think even the bins are emptied by the council

I guarantee your mental health would improve if only you would wear a tie with the suit. It's a cert.

Either that or you'll look like you are on the way to court.

Also Shave the beard off.  YOU'LL be positively sane after that.

it'll be £130 a month for me in a few weeks, ouch. Not used to paying for stuff like this!

Posted

£210 per month for a 2 bed house.

At least Dick Turpin wore a mask so you knew he was a robber.

In London, that would be considered a real bargain. It's more like £1210/month for something similar.

Surely not just for council tax!

Sorry, misread that! Thought you were talking about rental levels rather than council tax....

Dafuq?

My BTL (one bed flat worth about £1.50) is more than that! Although water is included in Scotland

Had too many of them so have rationalised.

Links to all of them in the one pinned thread instead.

Not too keen on this - there weren't too many IMO, a lot of forums have many many more.

Besides they'll be floating up and down the board constantly now, and where they were right at hand before, now they're a bit buried. Also if you have content previews enabled on Tapatalk it's a right mess.

From what I've seen it seems feedback (what little there was) suggested more pinned posts were wanted, not less. Don't think more could be justified but nobody asked for less. It wouldn't surprise me if a move like that meant the for sale thread etc were used less.
