Cheers Krujoe and Mike_knight.  Today was exhausting, but useful.

There were two separate diversions on the way back, and roadworks, and an accident that was bad enough to close another road and have at least 2 ambulances, a fire engine and 2 police cars in attendance.  Felt like a very, very long drive home.  Also had to have Burger King because Little Chef was broken, so that was disappointing.

I had an appointment at Wythenshawe hospital today.

I have eosinophilic asthma.

I am on a waiting list for specialist meds as they cost £5k per year.

Now I know why I have no triggers and what I am up against.

Hooray about the MOT! Boo about the job loss! Do you have anything lined up?

Nothing as yet but I've had a couple of phone calls back from an agency about some labouring work ( the normal 0 hour contract and about two days work but like most they promise it will lead to full time etc etc )and have been put on universal credit by the Jobcentre but apparently you don't get any help for about 6 weeks.

I'm quite lucky as I can survive but I pity most youngsters who have rent to pay etc so I now can see why the food banks are popular and homelessness is on the up.

Went out before to pick my young teenage Foster lad up. On the way back gets a phone call from duty social worker. Young lad hears me mention police and legs it out of car. After phone call catches up with him to explain it's not a problem just a clerical thing. He refuses to come with me and walks off . So now have to wait till 10.30 then report him missing to the police. Which is a pain in the arse cos they may call out at three in the morning to search the house to make sure I haven't done him in and hid him in the shed. The main moan is that my two kids are upset cos they think he doesn't like us and has run away.Think I shall take a long break from fostering for a bit. Getting sick of kids who have no respect and don't give a shit.

I appear to have lost the little exhaust box at the back of the Land Rover, took it to Kwik Fit to order a new one to be told that the exhaust is no longer available off the shelf and would have to be made to order. I suspect that this is not the case; unfortunately whilst looking underneath also spotted an oil leak onto the rear disc and a leak from the power steering reservoir, opening the bonnet to check the power steering fluid noticed an oil leak from the rocker cover.

The moral of this being don't look under a Land Rover

I need someone to outbid me on this! I bidded on this the other day and every so often I get a notification that I'm outbid. Then a few minutes later a notification that its been canceled and I'm the highest bidder again. Really not sure what I'd do with it if I won. Not least that the MOT expires this weekend...

It'll scrap for £63, if you win just pay by bank transfer and send the scrappers for it

Those bidders are probably just trying to work out what your max bid is so they can snipe it anyway

You'll be in trouble if you win this  :-D

If it wasn't fucking miles away I'd step in - probably a few quid in that if it will go through a test

You are playing a very dangerous game with bidding on this and buying all of those tickets in the Safrane raffle.

It was making a very unscheduled stop, was terrifyingly close to the house. They got enough height to disappear, then some guys in a minibus show up trying to find it.

There was one over somercotes a few years back really low at the bottom of the hill heading towards pye bridge. Now if anyone knows the area then will know jubilee hill is quite steep. It didmt get enough height and made an unscheduled stop in a field.

That's what I was thinking when I bidded on it. Also that I have a policy with a month to use up and no car to put it on. So I bidded.

Then I remembered I'm supposed to be saving money to move house and I have too many other projects with the DIY in the house to finish plus the MGB to get working again.

It's all fine now, someone has out bidded me!

All the golf courses round here seem to have signs up warning that no hot air balloon recovery is permitted. Quite what they would do if one were to fall on their silly vacuumed bit of land I have no idea ( but would like to watch).
