Fill cracks between boards with paper mâché made using PVA and black paint before sanding and varnishing. Looks like it was always like that.

I was really busy the end of last week and her Galaxy needed a set of back pads; I dropped it in to the local guy, she picked it up a few hours later, he charged her €50, we supplied the pads.

Last night she said there's a strange noise out of the car; I went out in the dark and drove 100 yards, clanking and wobbling. Stopped. Two wheel bolts finger tight, three missing on back left wheel, other side tight.

I've decided; no matter what, if I don't have time today, I'll make time tomorrow.

No more garages

Started attacking the RX8.

With tools, not a lump hammer.

Though a lump hammer has been involved.

Bollocks.

Mrs L1 seems to be alright at least. Overcorrected for a 20mph slide.

She's OK, that's the main thing.  Bodywork is much easier to fix than human bodies.

Collection!

Nothing exciting unfortunately. Just off to recollect my ever faithful Civic from my parents house, because of Audi breakages.

I wish this was a collection of an MGB GT. That's unfortunately delayed until stupid VAG shite is working again. Hopefully not draining all my wallet in the process.

Glad she is OK, the lexus looks quite twisted though. Hopefully it's just camera angle?

Cartakeback have offered 2k broken, 3k if running. I did check ;)

My decorating the hallway is now nearly finished. The kids break up from school on Friday so last push today to get it finished. The only problem is that the money for the carpets has been spent on my ebay celica. I believe floorboards are fashionable and trendy right now. Good job I may be looking at them for a 1 little while.

Andy should find out tomorrow - rear wing, bumper, cluster, two wheels and the back wheel at a jaunty angle - probably doesn't bode too well.

Did someone say these engines fit in NA MX5s?

My Lounge / Hallway, dining room laminate is falling apart, after 19 years of abuse.

The Cat has taken to pissing on it by the back door where it's worst.

Mind you the dog is on heart tablets and he pisses in his sleep now, all over the kitchen floor.

Both are very old. I think I'll wait until they expire and replace all the floors downstairs.

You haven't shown them what I lent you to go home in!

Both my mums cats got incontinent during their last years, and parents said they would replace the carpet when they finally went.

5 years later and it's still down, a few shampoo's, lots of bicarbonate of soda and me running interesting and powerful hoovers over it now and again has got rid of the smell!

Still needs replacing though, stepdad said it was old carpet when he moved in in 1983, it'll cost them a bloody fortune though as it's right the way through the lounge diner, up the hall stairs and landing. And the floor underneath is quite fucked...

It's genuinely great.

I am debating taking it to a local hand-job establishment and seeing how much it would cost to get rid of the mould :D

I had to google that. It's nothing like it!

This Proton Mpi is going to be banger raced, because the owner can't sell it. For £275. It looks lovely for that price!

It makes me very sad.

Sorry to see that chap! Glad the boss is OK!

Having had mine out in a howling rainy gale in Aberdeenshire today, it has to be said that the can be a touch lively. Bit of a difference from the Alfa 156.

VAG PRODUCT SO RELIABLE WELL BUILT.

I have had things fail on them that haven't failed on any other vehicle, including supposedly badly made French cars. Tonight: the dim/dip beam switch on the SEAT.
