Need to keep the Almeria, Nothing like holding onto families old motors. Would never get rid of my Kia.

I've not formed an attachment to this one but if it had been the Lada Riva estate or 504 pickup he had some time ago I'd keep it 4evs.

Tuesday's purchases, the Berlingo now sports 12 months mot and 188k on the clock...

The Golf is a little further behind at 149k with mot until July but needs the egr and inlet removing and de-clagging before it goes up for sale.

More JDM stuff lurking in the gloom. First decent run out for the Honda in quite a long time. The ride feels quite utterly shit after the ZX. That car has ruined me!

My TV career is going from strength to strength. Last year I was just out of shot in an interview with Will Cleland, this year I'm almost visible in the passenger seat of Nisfan's Bluebird.

Was the supplying dealer Weir's, by any chance?

Anywhere we can help with?

West coast, near Oban.

I've gone off the idea a bit, it's just going to eat into precious van-fixing funds by the time I insure it and get it up here.

I think it might have been, Nisfan or FOAD might be able to confirm.

In other news today, reb's Polo has grown and sprouted two extra doors and a turbo. And the most letters on the boot.

Am i right in thinking GTTDI was the result of dealers going renegade with sticky letters and never an actual official model?

Posted

If I remember correctly GTTDI was a 150ps engine, reaching that by over boosting for a short period and only reaching 150ps for a short period.

This allowed VW to claim 150ps, though I stand to be corrected.

I've seen numerous power outputs for gt tdi, 115,130 and 150 I think. 150 being apparently fragile too?

My younger bro bough a new 150 glof in 03/04 and traded it in last year after 12 years of his driving (he's the hashiest person I know) the only expense was servicing and a headlight from hitting a pheasant at warp factor 10.

It wasn't all good though as when he traded it the wheels where manky and rust was appearing in the front wings.

I wish he had told me when he got shot of it as I would have took it of him, it never dropped below 50mpg very often even on full chat,

I think the later 2.0 was a bit troublesome though.

**Calling all Mk1 Sierra owners**

A scrappys near mine is cubing this Mk1 on Monday - does anybody need spares before it goes?

330fbrs.jpg

It's at AS Car Spares, Red Lodge, near Bury St. Edmunds in Suffolk.

Phone Number is 01638 751327.

That looks like a great opportunity to purchase a new set of random non-matching Ford steels for the Sierra Base.

I was offered a free car today. A 16 year old Golf, failed it's MOT on emissions and a few other bits. Not sure I can be bothered with it but I am tempted just to try and keep up with the Shadow's of this world. Hmmmm...

Free is free. What's 2001, a Mk4? Even if it needs a new cat and some spanner-twirling, you'll make your money back with a set of fake BBSs, Chinese coilovers and carbon film for the bonnet. Crap drug dealers love the Mk4.
