I was enjoying that until the citroen bashing. Fuck him now!

Yep pissed me off as well.

I was going to start a new tread with it.

Woeful xantia? I think it's probably the best car Citroen made quality wise.

Emissions are undoubtably a problem in inner cities ( I hate travelling into the Centre of London because of the smell of sulphur dioxides from the catalysts ) but environmentally it's far better keeping an old car running for longer than building a new one to replace it. Plus the benefits for small local businesses employed to keep said cars going.

Ps I have that 1970s Paris car run Ferrari video somewhere - I'll put it on a DVD for anyone who wants it.

Not found a replacement for the focus in time for our holiday. So I have shelled out on air con regas, new regulator for the electric window and a fuel filter.

Watch me get another car now.

Doesn't look good- took off the manifold and water came out and left black mud behind!

That's better than finding out at the top of the sliproad on the way off the motorway though.

It was on the sliproad, turning off into Hartshead Moor services... :-D

It's called "C'etait un rendez-vous", filmed by Claude Lelouch. It's (badly) dubbed with Ferrari noises but the car is actually a 450SEL 6.9 ! Shite-tastic !

I've seen healthier spark plugs.

Not my field of expertise but engine may require a bit of fettling Richard.

Engine is, technically, something that rhymes with Donald ducked. It's not worth progressing any further with it unfortunately. Have removed alternator, fan, oil breather, fuel pump and manifold ( but that's very corroded from the inside out). Starter looks ok, air filter housing is fine. Otherwise it's a dead weight.

Just about managed to prise myself away from Vauxhall dealer without buying a car. I want to wait until next year when the new GTC comes out to see what they're like and the prices, but quite fancy a second hand 5 door (new shape) Astra or Insignia.

what a shame, especially as it was new when first left. All it needed was a few simple steps and a decent cover. I have engines in my shed that have been there ten years and are as good as the day they went in.

I put the Z3 through its MOT and it passed with the same advisory as last year which was slight corrosion on brake pipes and a new one for the car which was part of centre stop light not working, as I forgot I took a couple of bulbs out to fit in my parents old Volvo last year while it was in storage and I had it not refitted any new ones before the MOT.

Get back on the Auto Express forum you fraud!

I wouldn't say no to some new cars if I was in a position to buy one.

Yet MOAR work on panda parade.  As it was quite literally raining on my parade (and me) on and off I didn't get it to the stage of starting it up.  The new timing belt still has to go on though it's just about back together again - despite having a few sundry bolts and mystery piece of metal left over.

Had to take the front wheel off to access the alternator belt and the disc looks a bit fucked.  What's with the "lanes"?

I'll swap the discs over from the donor panda.  After doing the head gasket I reckon I should be able to sort brakes out next.

Back to work tomorrow, MITCAR next weekend, I may just take this one to show off my new skillz!

I've driven the new Astra and much as I feel a bit dirty for admitting It, I really liked it. Loads better than the previous model.

Saw a guy walking away from the pub - I thought I was going to witness spontaneous human combustion as smoke was billowing out of him.

He was vaping - you would have thought through a fucking drainpipe - outside the pub was like the vatican.

A couple of mates came round this afternoon for me to clean his Marina, this is the same one that i posted which had been in a barn since 1981 and had a jacked up rear suspension, side pipe exhaust and a bolt boot spolier.

Well Thursday it passed it's mot, i took it for a drive and it drives quite well, it is quite low to sit in and it is quite slow too. After a few hours it looked much better...

Until you get to the back end! There were holes in the boot lid for the old spolier so my mates welded them up for now but the paint match is slightly out...

I fitted a Autoshite sticker.

Cortinaboy was also round so whilst i was mopping he was doing the inside.

The front seats are tan so will need covers. If you ignore the rubbish paint at the rear it now looks surprisingly presentable!.

^ Trig what happened to that ital van that was stashed over where your old Sierra came from? I half expected you to end up with it.

I preferred the Marina with the mods for just how stupid they were!

Tonight Mrs 6C and I went to an American car show near Northampton. We were a little late, most of the cars had returned to there camp sites and were dispersed amongst regular cars, but we still had a good walk round. And yes Mrs 6C made me park her Cadillac next to a pink one with a bubble machine!

It's still in the pipeline! I've spoke to the brother the other week and basically it needs to go and i've got first refusal on it but he needs finish building an engine in front of it first and his brother who owns it has now been told its worth a bit of money so I've had to up my offer a little bit.
