Scoop most of them up into the boxes again, they'll be fine.

Fried sprouts and bacon :-)

On the left, a rear wiper motor for a ph.1 Peugeot 106, of c.1993 vintage.

On the right, a rear wiper motor for a ph.1* Peugeot 106 c. 1994 vintage - but it's different enough that I can't swap it for the one on the left without butchery to the wiring. Fiddlesticks.

* from now on, I'm calling it a ph. 1.5...

Best way to do sprouts! Blanched for a minute, knob of butter in the frying pan, lardons, the sprouts and a glass of white wine.

The early one is Peugeot 6405 87 (- UNTIL - 1996) the next is 6405 C2 (- SINCE - 1996) and restyle is 6405 C4. ;)

Mibbie the right one is from a newer tailgate than 1994...

Freezing rain here yesterday and my decision to change tyres early to all seasons proved correct. Kleber Quadraxer 2's have proven to be excellent with grip on near sheet ice, recommended!

Hahahaha Just noticed on the volvo pic. My van doesn't turn the lights off after locking it for a minute or so. They are shining straight into bin woman's bedroom window. She'll wonder what he fuck I'm doing at 6am, and she'll think I'm doing it on purpose. Taking pics for the dash at night thread won't really cut it ?

Nope, I've got two of them, both from 1994-5 cars... that said, the red one's tailgate is from a different model to what it's fitted to but the same model as the one on the right.

There are however enough little differences between the older car and this one to make the distinction between them - but they're not there to change the car other than to make it more usable for RHD use or to save Peugeot a handful of centimes every time a component is fitted.

Sadly not, Mr New POD is quite correct, I think the Lotus tide mark paint suits it. This is the totally unnecessary Chrysler replacement, place bets on how long it will take before I remember that I'm not really up to getting in and out of an MX5 and that it's the depths of winter.

Autobutler reckons my Rover 620 needs a timing belt and a service soon. Bit late now since I scrapped it three years ago.

Thought my misery in the cold and rain was about to end,was all set to push the button on a local ish mk1 diesel 106,not a car I had really considered but it seemed to tick every box, good history, looked in good nick, high mpgs, three door, long test and good test history...bastard went for nearly £750

Top down, scarf, gloves and bobble hat, and heater on, and you'll be toasty warm.

The heaters are good to minus 10

Whoops. Ignore the squint numberplate and it's actually quite tidy. The clutch is a bit harsh in first and second so I think the release bearing is beginning to go. Otherwise it seems okay, drives nice and is reasonably progressive if pushed. The previous owner made a big deal about how quick it is but I've driven far faster, it's only a 2.0 N/A ffs.

No relevant history either, other than the new tyres from the look of it. It doesn't sound bad and doesn't creak or rattle so that's a plus.

I'm used to open top cars, but have been lacking one for a while. If it's not tipping it down the roof is off. I do have the memory of being laughed at because I was sat in the queue, at the Severn Bridge, in a hailstorm with no roof on my Lotus 7. At least the MX5 roof can be put up quickly when necessary. It's now on my insurance but probably not collecting it until the New Year.
