Marvelous.  Is that engine the same as a Vauxhall/Opel big block engine out of Astra and endless other cars?

Sorry, don't want to buy although it is impressive.

I went and looked at this, a while back, when he was asking considerably more.

He did sufficient welding for an Mot, just - but it was plating over the original mess, with a ton of wet under seal.

The bottom of the doors, boot lid and both rear wheel archs are all borked, completely. A lot of refabbing needed.

It's not often I walk away, esp when it would have made a good match to my Padmini..

Fancy a Golf with a years test and a Volvo 340 for a swap? Hell, even a Mondeo Aspen.

Serious offer!!!

Mrs DW has asked whether you'd swap it for a Bluebird. She's a remarkable woman.

Why is this not already happening :D

I like that, but can imagine fun times when parts are needed, I am sure there was a dealer for these in Carmarthenshire a few years ago

Just realised that those few years ago was around 1990

Ahh.....A shame really............ I suppose popping a big block ford under the hood may take a little longer than first thought.

Was it up in Hampshire when you saw it Nigel...?

That great. The welding is next years problem .

And the next 20 years.  After that 'jobs a good un' .

This is top flight shite is this.   Weld it up proper, fill it full of waxoyl and this should trundle on for 100  years

And the last ten years looking at the mot history...did the Indians really have to copy the rustproof qualities as well?

Fairly recently then, shame I wasn't there too.

It would be nice to think someone will keep it chugging on, but understandable if not given the above...!

Possibly the best car ever advertised on here. Sack the engine off, fit an XUD or TD Isuzu and chip fat your way into happiness.

It's at " that" point in life.

It's worthless as a breaker, refurbish it will cost a lot of years, or a lot of money.

You could, in theory, use it a while, but it's an attention grabber, the wrong sort closer than 10 yards.

I hope someone commits, I've not enough time left, unless it's cheap enough for me to pay the labour.

Nah a vauxhall red top for revvy race action and wipe the smirks off the faces of boy racers
