Spiny Norman
Here's a pic of the 2200HLS I had. It was the first 'big' car I ever had, and the first with the luxury of power steering and the plushest interior I'd ever sat in. No point looking for it on DVLA unfortunately. It was bought by a local taxi firm who ran the thing into the ground.

e287yba
I believe you are 100% correct . Another song, the title of which eludes me... "You're like Manchester, you've got Strange-Ways ... Will you Cheet[ham) me? ... Will you plough my Fallowfield? (etc - it goes on, but this bit isn't part of the song )" There is a whole raft of witty ditties by Mr S out there - he's a very talented chap, not to be underestimated . Guest Allegropaul
I can assure you that JBL911N is still firmly alive and well (ish) sitting in my barn. I can also assure you its a Morris 2200HL not an 1800 - it had a dirty great E6 sitting sideways under the bonnet last time I looked, which was Easter Monday 2016 This is the famous Guildford Wedge which was sitting in a field for a while between Guildford and Woking just off the A3 - I rescued it in 1996 and have been storing it ever since. It made an appearance at Peterborough a few years ago - here is a pic. Angrydicky, Sudsprint, michael t and 13 others

MarvinsMom
seeing a glorious wedge at rotting like that makes me sad.... the fact that so few now are left is another sore point. rust, apathy, cowley been unable to put them together properly and those glorious 4 pot callipers that fit a ford all did for them. shame, given what a forward piece of thinking the car was. as a nipper my fathers best friend had a string of them, going for a ride in one was something special, especially when compared to the old mans marina! Austin-Rover
Not seen this thread before - such a labour of love to compile all these cars. Anyway, here's mine to add to the list; It's a 2200HLS Manual - an ex-Bradford MBC civic car. Pictured in it's current home - and where it is likely to spend a few more years yet! vulgalour, privatewire, Dick Longbridge and 8 others

captain_70s
I spotted (and failed to buy for something silly like £850) ASE 698S when it lived up here circa 2013. Nice looking motor, low original mileage too. It's the only Prinny I've seen in the flesh, it appeared at the car show where I saw my first/last Allegro in the form of FOAD's old example. The Reverend Bluejeans
It's not an L. As any Wedge aficionado knows*, The L trim arrived with the O Series Princess 2 in May '78. That honey is sporting a bit of B Series action - just a base mode innit. vulgalour

vulgalour
Vinyl seats, plain dashboard, single coach stripe, no C pillar or roof vinyl and a blanking plate where the fog light switch would be all indicate L/base. It would normally have Allegro type hubcaps but no rim embellishers. The radio would have been an optional extra, a true L/base would have a blanking plate. Essex V6
I have an NZ Prinny to add. Been meaning to post this one up for a while. vulgalour
That's where this thread got to! I've been maintaining this offline and this thread is woefully out of date. The Photobucket debacle has not helped. I'm not entirely sure how I'm going to sort the images of cars and their details for ease of viewing. Ideally it could do with me setting up a niche little website folks can browse and add to, but I'm no good at that sort of thing.
