My old man had a Granada coupe when I was a youngun and it took my brother home from the hospital when my mum popped him out.

He wants another but he ain't rich.

This is a bloke in a vest with tattoos driving a Cossie.

I often visit Burton on Trent with work and it's nothing to do with tuning old fords. Disappointing.

This Granada is really messing with my head and it's not the black and silver plates.

Is it a Ghia or GL with the vinyl removed ?

What colour is it? ( anybody that says blue can buy a car on PCP)

Why no chrome trim rings?

Why early chrome centre caps?

Everything about it is wrong and that retrimmed interior is a little sudden, it would look better slammed on Pentas or Cossie's 16"s. Or my new favourite Granny wheel- banded original steels.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and all that but either modify or keep original not half arsed both.

Oh, there be that Pursuit Falcon XB. That was somewhere in Perthshire for a bit.

I'd love to tool around in that, shouting "Oi Fella, you're a turkey, you know that!".

Got the massive horn for that Mk3 Transit.

Did you get any pics of the Anglia next to the gold Cortina? That looks PROPER FIT.

Do the members of the RS Owners Club still wear RS Owners Club T shirts, with RS Owners Club fleeces, with RS Owners Club baseball caps, while never allowing their cars to rev over 3000 rpm?

While I'm sad enough to really like wondering in a field full of Fords I couldn't join an owners club.

I don't get them. Why would I want to talk to other people about my car when they own exactly the same?

Perhaps As nyphur has written on the His jag thread. Because He got a £70 discount on insurance for being in the JEC.

I wonder how many were followed home? It's how the theiving bastards know where the cars are.

I would sooner shove wasps up my arse than show an old ford.

Mk2 cortina club are good for spares and insurance discounts. They also know the best way to do those tricky jobs specific to the car. So there's that.

Think that's the usual benefits of any owner's club, really?

I always had that with US car clubs.

I like talking to people about different things, I learn a lot more than I would otherwise. There's more to hear and no end of stories and things, it beats revelling in how you had to do that one job everyone hates on your (insert club vehicle here) last week, then the week after someone else starts talking to you about it, etc. You might get inspired to try something different if you're surrounded by variety. Nothing ventured nothing gained!

Yes, you can relate easier when everyone has the same car, but a car's a car to an extent - it's not like certain experiences are exclusive to certain cars.

Besides, how many other Pride/Kelisa/405/bicycle (delete as appropriate depending on outcome of week) owners are there to engage with?
