I went over to Keighley and recovered Meg the Visa from the garage she has been in for over a year.

She will be moving into the garage as soon as I make room (ie, move the Triumph).

Got irritable, well more irritable.

Then helped clean a Rover 75, albeit it very, very slowly with plenty of stoppage time :(

You have some nuts given to Joe for the visa. Barefoot gave them me and I passed them on.

I had to reverse bump start the Rover 414 on the slip road just before the Blackwall Tunnel as I stalled after the battery has died.

Was an interesting experience. I'll now need to pinch the battery off the 220 coupé to get it back on the road.

I got loads done, although without actually achieving much:

Made the ignition problem on the Jeep a tiny bit better. Arranged to get it back next week for a proper service.

Got the XJ-S to turn over on the starter, but not actually run.

Wrote a proposal for work and chased some invoices.

Hung out with Keith The Dog, talked to Mrs S.

Dug the holes to lay a patch of decking.

Borrowed a book on how Stromberg carburettors work.

Bought some wood to finish making a cabinet I started 18 months ago (there's a Jeremy Corbyn joke in there somewhere, but let's not).

Mostly I are been at work.....However I did manage to tidy the boot of the Cowley which had been full of carefully preserved bits of 1950s interior trim that I fondly imagined I could obtain a reasonable equivalent to somewhere on my travels.   Since that has yet to happen they are now in the shed whereupon they will promptly be lost.

I did find a half bottle of Valvemaster Plus which I had forgotten about.   £5.75 profit in my man-maths ledger.

I fitted a passenger mirror to the 205 thankfully it matches.

I also took an aerial shot of SVM HQ's "storage area" 540f0714391a74ece24044f3afa99a54.jpg

My dog took over my car

Other than that I twitched a lot and broke my F5 key.

I did some work on the decking I'm building out the back . I bought a load of coach bolts but had a change of plan so took them back to screw fix to change them for some other bits . I stood in the queue for a bit then eventually got up to the counter and said can "I change these bolts for some angle brackets " . The guy said sorry I can't change them, I said why? He said this is tool station you bought these from screw fix. Embarrassing .

I discovered that you can now find pornography on the internet.  Who'd've thought it?

I went searching the hedgerows for old damp pages from Razzle showing hairy German ladies....

I'm pretty sure there's an app for that.

I found this online today when looking for a job. Quite specialist.

I joined my new squadron yesterday and none of the big boys beat me up or took my lunch money.

Looking at it, the new aircraft I'm on is a damn sight cleaner and a lot more modern, some would even say engineer-friendly.

Still miss my old analogue clunky cabs though...

I... I looked at Pistonheads. It's still full of powerfully-built company directors.

Allegedly.
