Well done! I like the colour, it must be quite an early one on  02? Is it a diesel?

Petrol engine, wheels refurbed, front end updated and what looks like rather nice interior.

Thanks guys. Full report to follow when I see it in daylight. For the first time.

It's a 4.4 v8 Vogue on LPG. Seems solid, the guy I got it from has done a lot of work and it looked good. In the dark.

Price was right and it's MOTd til November.

I'm impressed by the condition but less so by the lights and stereo. Other than those mods it seems to be fairly unmolested.

It made it home with the same number of warning lights on as I left with, that's got to count for something.

  • dome changed the title to Domes shonky autos-Range Rover here. Financial ruin pending.

Does that mean they were all on when you picked it up?

Cracking choice. You've took your brave pills etc etc etc etc etc.

Won't take a lot of effort to tone down the smoked theme a wee bit.  👍

I almost had a punt on one of these a couple of weeks back, but it was a 4.4 sans LPG and I really didn't fancy the fuel consumption - although it was marginally better in that regard than a 4.6 P38.

Only the airbag light to be fair. Will give it a prod with a code reader and see what the crack is

That pesky air bag light played me up when I had mine.

I don’t know about the L322 but the p38 could display 110 error messages on the dash .

v8 too. Heroic. You're next mission is to find and fit the twin turbo setup off a Bentley green label Arnage, which was built for this engine by Cossieworth.

I don't think you understand my plans for Range Rover ownership. I plan on parking it outside the house and just looking at it. I'm not going to be daft enough to try and drive it!

You could use it as a calendar and track the weeks and months by how much it sinks over time.

Ah.

I see mr dome has decided he doesn't like having any spare money any more.

It's not even leaked anything overnight. This means it must have no fluids in it 😭

There seems to be plenty of fluid in that taillight.

I think you need this sticker for the rear.

Ok, had a quick prod around this at lunchtime. First impressions are pretty good for what it is.

I had a play with the underseat airbag connections and got the light off. Behold, no warning lights!

Yeah, we'll see how long that lasts.

Took some pictures, as much for you guys to tell me what I've got as anything else.

Headlights have a Landrover part number on them so they can stay for the time being

Cooling system has had work done including a lower temp thermostat than standard-apparently a common mod.

Tyres are 3 recent Pirelli Scorpions and one Goodyear-good to see an actual brand(or brands) on it.

Cone filter apparently normal on these as lpg system eats into space for the airbox

Rocker gaskets replaced recently too.

And have some more pics.

Arches seem decent with just a couple of bubbles. IMG_20201217_141419524.thumb.jpg.28418fadbce13dafe467ffdf6e537432.jpg

Interior is in decent nick too, I'm gutted the phone doesn't work though😭

Stay tuned as I get some miles on it and see how it goes!
