For sale we have my uncles Rover 820i. Silver with grey interior. It has the o series 8 valve engine. It runs sweet and was wax oiled every few years. He's had to give up driving it because he needs an auto so has a got himself a Rover 25 auto which he loves. He's had this car for 23 years and it belonged to his boss before that from new. It's on an f plate and looks fantastic. The MOT has lapsed but it wouldn't take much for another.. I would have it but it not my cup of tea. The price is none negotiable, but it's worth it. Any interest pm me.

If that's an 8 valve then it's ultra rare indeed and is badged "820" with no E, I, O, A or U.

Howmanyleft says there are minus 2435 of them on the road.

8 Valves FTW!

These also have the overtly designed manual remote door mirror adjusters EVA.

The 2.0 8v carburettor 820 is supa shite and right up my street, plus I am drinking.

Go and pour yourself another large one, and then do the right thing.

You know it makes sense.

Where is "here"? I could be up for it if you square my transport to the car and back home.

Yes it is. I'm not sure you can get an 8v injected 820?

I think you're right. My dad had an 820e (auto!). That was one step up from the carb model, same poxy 14inch wheels and miser spec but single point injection and 16v

If it's 8v it's an "electronic" carburettor.

Isn't that the sort of madness pre-VAG Skoda were playing around with when they had to lob catalysts on all their cars and realised nobody in the engineering department had learned how injection works?
