Lankytim
Spotted this in a communal car park near me. I suspect any probing into what’s happening with it might result in aggro so I left it well alone. Split_Pin

Billy - Medhurst
That mk3 Cortina was possibly a nice car when parked up as its still not that horrible now - Still would though. treehugger and bunglebus
bunglebus
It's probably saveable, with a lot of work. This guy who dragged two out of fields did an amazing job on his. It's on SORN and had a logbook issued in 2012 so may not have been left too long - and it's on hardstanding. I'll see if it has a tax disc next time I'm passing. It amazes me that up until not so long ago, there were three MK3 Cortinas around here just sitting on drives, another orange one that I never papped has disappeared, and this 2000E 1600 GXL sits on a main road - sure the guy used to have a Maxi too 20190722_140449 by RS, on Flickr Amishtat, Rab, Austat and 5 others 7
Billy - Medhurst
@bunglebus 2010 For the above one - Maxis seem to be about in disarray quite often. https://www.drivearchive.co.uk/vehicledetails.asp?CarID=87171

Nice picture of the GXL, it's really started to look rough in the last few years, the Maxi was next door (OMGsomethingR I think, Tara Green or its Maxi equivalent). There's also a Mk. 1 Granada GXL on a Broomfield driveway but it's hard to see. bunglebus

OMG is Jade green not Tara green, although Maxis did come in this colour. Tara green is darker as can be seen from my photo of my Mum's. My uncle used to have a nice Cortina back in the days. I'll come over next week help him install the exhaust and cold air intake kits on his current pick up truck project. I'll ask if he still got some photos of his Cortina.
Angrydicky
What a massive shame someone's removed the original plates from that brown Cortina and replaced with incorrect pressed black 'n silvers. Nasty. Shite Ron and Skodfan

I have always wondered how many people have offered to buy it since it's been there? The Land Rover I noticed about a year ago as having not moved, but it could be longer than that. When I pass that way I am always looking at the car under the cat piss tarp to notice if the LR has moved . Dick Longbridge
