Dumped cars in your area

A Mégane estate with a couple of broken windows and some Police Aware stickers has appeared in Glossop.

Do we need a separate thread for driveway ornaments or can I post in this one?

Surprisingly few abandoned cars around my university considering its high overseas student population. The only one we've had recently was an 05-plate Peugeot 206 CC that sat in the car park for ages with flat tyres and a ripped bin bag over the windows, but it's gone now.

Untaxed. Last tax expired November 1, 2014

No MOT Last MOT expired December 1, 2015

Dumped at the roadside - spotted in Leicester 16.08.2016.

There is a scrapyard nearby and I assume it was closed so the car was dumped here.

There's a dumped MG ZR at Lancaster services....also, there's about 12 vehicles with abandoned notices in Reading Macro car park for reasons I can't quite fathom, one of them is an ex ambulance still in livery minus a wheel?!

I can remember 20 years back dumped cars were everywhere. There was an old mk3 cortina estate that sat for ages at a mill at monsal dale. Can also remember at Portsmouth ferry terminal an old Allegro estate that must have been dumped there which I thought was a funny place to dump a car.

Someone really needs to save that Cavalier; with a little bit of work that would be great

Mk3 Mondeo and a Mk2 mx5 in my local car park. Mx5 rot has increased a lot in the last few months, bits are being removed from the Mondeo.

I've just started realising how many motorway services have "permanent residents" in the carpark.... Donington today has a Focus with a flat tyre and much grime, and in Toddington last week there was a Megane cabrio that looked like it might just have been driven in and parked up - except for the perfect outline of moss and grot on the tarmac around it. Must have been there months, I guess Parking Eye will have a say if it ever leaves the carpark again. "Oh yes, a 42 day overstay - that'll be your firstborn, arm, leg and the shirt off your back please"

That 1 series BimBimBimmer is a weird one. 3 litre, too young for MOT. Security is likely to be pretty damn good. Keys stolen from the owners home?

And as for the Mk3 Cav, it looks more solid than some did ten years ago. Back arches are actually there.

That 1 Series was there two weeks ago, I found it a bit of a weird one for dumping. You must have seen it the same day as me as surely the alloy wheels off the back, rear lights and anything else ebayable would have gone overnight.

Maybe the Allegro was Lord Lucan's, abandoned on his escape?

Tried to call the cops on 101 to report a Passat wedged in a hedge on a bumpy bend.

After 20 minutes on hold, gave up and reported it on their Facebook page (I know, modern times right?) where it says right at the top "Do not report incidents using social media". Fuck 'em. There was nobody in the car, it was clearly a dumped chavmobile (scuffed to shit black Audi 18" rims, drug dealer tintz) but if anyone else goes off on that corner there's going to be a nasty mess as it's right on the edge of the road.

BMW might have been used in a robbery or more likely stolen to order for a particular part eg the gearbox or whatever

Id wager the beemer was stolen with a blank key and not by run of the mill scrotes either!

Read in the papers on Thursday some London councils are refusing to move abandoned cars due to cost, if the cars not in a dangerous place or blocking someone in it stays there.

That's fairly common round here. Driving a shite car has its advantages, nobody is interested in it!

Does that mean we can remove them on their behalf? ;)
