Show us your daily

I know we are all on here because we share a common love for old, crap cars. Or, old, now sought after cars, whatever the case may be.

What does astound me however, is despite all of the 'new cars are shit' threads, loads of members actually do have a modern daily. Which sparked me to think - just what is your daily?

To make it clear now - this is NOT a thread to bash new cars. Maybe it's the only thread where it is acceptable to show your 2 weeks old hack.

I'm nosy I reckon - I've picked this thread up following a similar one on the blue forum where actually, so many people use moderns daily, although that's probably due to the extensive modding of some of their cars.

But on here, where that isn't the theme ... That maybe isn't the case.

Well publicised on here now but my new daily is the ex WW 405

And the OH daily is this 10year old Civic (a modern)?

My heap of modern is a 2006 Saab 93 1.9 Tid 150, it's both my daily and the chariot of choice for carting the basset hound about.

It's comfy and quiet, but doesn't stop me hankering after something truly, awfully shite... Maybe an allegro will suffice...

Afraid I don't have an Iveco.......However, here is my everyday runner getting a lungful of salt air to help next year's corrosion.

This is the current daily,

_57-2-1-1_zpsxmkt2vvp.jpg

11 years old so modern to most people on here but it's all relative really. 11 years old and two generations old used to be enough to feature in the likes of Practical Classics back in the day!

This was my daily. Currently sat a5 the back of my drive awaiting it's fate.

Currently needs water pump (already got) and fuel pump. Now I've scratched the itch to own a mk1 Octy VRs, I've got to decide whether to keep it or get rid and press the 190 back into frontline service. One of them will have to go though...

I alternate between little and large:

The Pleasure Wagon and the Seicento Sporting*. ^That's just as the ex-daily 216 is about to depart to Chez_John_K.

I bought a fault code reader for the Fiat this week; first time I've ever needed one of those!

Nearly 20 years old, but still a "modern" in my eyes... Proper old cars must have a carb and points and refuse to proceed at least once a week !

I have two dailys, depending on what I need.

The shitlander van is for general work use, towing, carrying dirty tools and driving down forestry tracks.

The Escort is for when I need to do a bit of distance without having to put up with the tedious drone and wobblyness of the Land Rover.

Mmm... Smart Roadster ! Are those as unreliable and complicated to fix as people say ? Their prices are getting dangerously close to AS territory !

I've always wanted to try one of those. They look like a lot of fun

I do like how most of the modern daily motors on AS are still a good decade old or so. I STILL have the oldest daily driver out of all my mates!

This is mine, comfortable, reliable and very easy to drive. Couldn't have asked for a better first car!

Current daily is this thing

If we're in need of more space or it's broken, I can fall back to this:

I keep thinking I should swap that out for something else.

This.

I might have to give it a wash someday.

My "daily driver" is whatever I happen to own at the time, no room or money for more than one car unfortunately.

Bought this a couple of weeks ago. Registered in 2004 but it's basically an early Mk2 SEAT Ibiza with a box on the back. I've been looking out for a Caddy TDI because they're that rare small van that's quite nippy and veg friendly. It surprises other drivers with its turn of speed and sips the veg. Great wee van.
