Who's got the oldest regular drive to work shite here?

It ain't me as I mostly work from home. Its very disappointing to see so little old stuff on the road given that we're supposed to be living in an economic crisis.

It won't be me either, my Saab being only 21 years old.

Oh yes, it's a benchmark, but I fully expect it to be passed before I go to the chippy tonight!

Won't be me either, I've got a 60 reg Sprinter van that's soon to be replaced by the leasing company as it's 'too old now' by a new Sprinter. Not my choice though as it's a company van for my job.

But when I was using my car to get to work and back it was either, a 74 Capri, a 79 Volvo 244 or an 87 Volvo 740. All of which were used all year round.

I actually miss using my old cars so much now but having a free vehicle with free fuel to commute in is a nice little perk! Must of saved me thousands in fuel costs over the years!

'86 merc 190d is my daily, but I'm sure there's a few prehistoric land rovers and things being used properly on here

I commute a distance of 14 furlongs in my 1899 Horsey Horseless every day.

When the weather's nice, my run to work is done on a 1983 Honda Spacy, but otherwise I'm currently using a 2003 diesel Mondeo, so Ah'm oot

1983 RovaDaytona.  1975 Dolly will sometimes do station run (8 miles there, 8 miles back) when misfire sorted.

1976 Landy does a weekly trash haul to local dump.  Sometimes does the station run and parks next to modern pimped out Landies.

All of my driving duties are undertaken at the helm of my 1971 built Cortina Estate.

Will that be beaten?

My commuter was made in 1997

I used a 1969 Jensen Interceptor as a daily for three years  (2010-2013).  Sold now.

PS:  in London, maybe 8 MPG.  Yes, climate change IS all my fault.

1972 legs with original knee caps here. There must be some mad bugger on here who drives a 1921 Hispaniola Margerita to the orifice every morning surely?

When I actually had a job my daily was a 1983 Fiesta then for no reason replaced with an 1988 Fiesta that now gets used just as and when.

21 year old Frontera is used for moving big stuff or loads of people and the now 10 year old Fiesta ST for everything else

I always tend to have more than one car, but did commute in my 1955 Austin Westminster for a time. Before that, when I was wealthy and working in IT, I'd occasionally conduct my commute in a 1970 Rover P6B. Or the 2CV. In fact, I think both were actually used for moving IT kit around. I possibly didn't tell my insurance company about that.

I have lost my old photo of me using the Jensen to take a load of old crap to the tip.  I parked it next to a Rover P5b doing likewise when I got there!  It was a photo of rare win, but is lost, alas.

1977 Dolomite 1300, 50 miles a day in all weathers (Scotland though, so it's 50 variations of rain). When it's back on the road the '76 1850HL will take over daily duties.

I'm not even close, a 1991 Sierra 1.8LX.  Complete with first owner as Europcar and a CVH engine.  I have got a 1982 Cortina in reserve, but that's a little too good to use as a daily and park it on the street.

88 is a poor effort considering Capt 70s daily.

27 years old for my hack.

1952. Only does about 10-15 miles a day now though.

A '98 Escort. Surprisingly comfy for a 70 mile round trip to Edinburgh and back.

My only car is 18 years old, and it's doing around 1700 miles a month at the moment reliably. It's got niggles but it's comfy and runs on cheap/free fuel.

It's easily the oldest car in the work car park.

Scruff just has me beaten, as my 1953 Austin Somerset is my everyday user that I go to work in more than any other car. I do about the same miles as him, in the old car friendly climate of the South of England. Having said that, I did manage to drown the electrics coming home from work on Thursday when I hit a flash flood :( Managed to dry off the plugs and leads using a rag and I was on my way again. Old cars are GR8.

I used to do 70 miles a day in my 1955 Standard Eight (top speed 55mph, crossplies etc) but then I moved offices and my commute went down to 50 miles a day, so I got a 90s turbo diesel instead

This is the Autoshite we know and love. Long live Autoshite!

I ran a 76 MGB GT until last year, now running a 1990 mx5. I used a 53 J15 James Cadet for a while a few years back which was. A lot of fun.
