Can't stand British racing green. Metallic or solid, hate that colour.

of course even a really sharp looking design can suffer when its a proper old man colour

Never really given a rats ass about colour but I do tremble with horror at that chewit purple they painted a few Micras in. That was oddly unpleasant.

post-17609-0-87719600-1436249030_thumb.jpgThey should be khaki, with POLIZIA or CARABINIERI down the sides.

Pino Verde is italian flag green - so very appropriate

I think yellow works on any car really because it's such an absurd colour to put on a car there's no point taking it as a serious choice so you might as well point and laugh regardless of what it's been sprayed onto. Mind you this is coming from someone that wants a multicoloured Volkswagen so pinch of salt all-round I reckon.

I hear you brother.

You're talking to the man who drove 600 miles in 2 days trying to buy the best Focus Millennium he could find.

And failed.

ooof!

speaking as someone who has owned 5 yellow cars (four of which weren't yellow when I bought them), I often think that what the world really, really needs is another red MGB.

You can NEVER* have too many of those.

As mine is white that means I must be immune....

I'd happily drive a pink car, but it has to be the right kind of pink.  I don't want to look like a chaffeur for shitty hen nights and proms when I'm just off to the shops for tea and biscuits.

I'll wear pink all day long, happily. Even whilst working in a Cat B mens jail.

1452564_200388493482729_286897590_n.jpg?

But every single pink car I have seen looks like:

2060208.004.1M.jpg

And, I just couldnt. Not that shade.

And it's a moving target. The colours you liked in your 20's are not what you'll like in your 40's, 50's or 60's

I dunno, I have three "fave" colours - Red, yellow and white. and pretty much this has been the case all my life so far without wavering. My wife who is a similar age likes blue and again this hasnt really wavered. She doesnt like my choice of bright red and deffo hates the idea of a yellow car, but would drive it. Then again she will drive owt ( read "Farmers Daughter") usually like she stole it and she owns the road.

I like the yellow Freelander. However, I always thought solid red was a ridiculous colour for a Jaguar XJ40.

I've had both a Fiesta and and Escort in it but there used to be millions like it.

My XR2 is a dark silver which looks poo and I wish it were red but it was very cheap

I'll take the one on the Samsung Galaxy phone. You can keep the rest. You may or may not agree, depending on your monitor.post-18080-0-58715800-1436284664_thumb.jpg

I had a 1978 Alfasud 5m in this very excellent colour

Carlton excepted, all of the above cars are entirely to my taste :)

I love that Carlton, given away free by Max Power when I was about 15 if memory served.   My dad had a couple of Carltons, one was a 1.8 but still a good, if slow, motor.

I'm sure from the picture that is maritime blue/ pov spec blue as it's lovingly known, I quite like that colour

That one ended up going backwards through a Blockbuster Video or something - MP had pictures of the wreckage getting baled. There was a whole heap of red, it was a shocking respray - they never showed it with the doors open for a reason!

I have a shirt and tie that colour. I find it quite soothing on the eye. But on the car it looks like a sick dong.

Is it bad that I really have a thing for K11 Micras with that chameleon paint?

That colour is even better on the same vintage Primera.

Junkfather had one of these in this colour:

renault-16-tx-01.jpg

He had bought it simply on the grounds that it was available at his usual dealership when he needed a new car.

I think I am the only one who ever liked it.
