That's shit! You should not kill them though, the best thing to do is destroy everything they own,now and for the rest of their life without fail. Whoever did it though must be the thickest of the thick, they stole a metro! It's the easiest target FFS. Hell! My 3 year old could nick that!

that is soo sad, and i feel the owners pain.

fuckers like that should be sterilized to stop them breeding (as a minimum)

living in social housing? commit crime and now you don't... again something that should be done but isn't.

sadly even if the coppers do (in the very unlikely event) do catch them the courts will do fuck all, just be a slap on the wrist and they'll be out to rob, steal and mug with impunity before dinnertime.

cos those sorts of shit stains have rites(apparently), and are the first to complain loudly about it.

some fucker stole marvin nearly 2 years ago, i was lucky i got it back with a smashed window, raged out locks and an egg shaped steering wheel. now its got a disklock on whenever its left.

our weak kneed politicians talk alot of shit about crime and that but never do 'owt about it. afterall there isn't much crime in belgravia or kensington and chelsea.

yes, yes they do.

can anyone please explain what is served by keeping scum like ian huntly and that dale creegan alive?

other for them to live in comparative luxury for the rest of their lives and not have to lift a finger to do anything ever again.

bastards. scum. fellons.

Owners of old chod need to be taught about securing their cars, when it was rife in the good old days you would be inclined to be security savvy as it was in your mind it could be easily nicked.

Nowadays with all the electrikiry you dont hear about newer stuff being nicked as much(Except high end stuff). Either install an alarm or some sort of immobiliser device/wiring. Stuff like metros and some of crap i have are likely to be stolen by joyriders/cunts rather than professional thieves/cunts so a visual deterrent or not being able to start it should help in that respect.

P.S I am a total hypocrite though, need to get a couple of mine secure.

The fuckers need arse raping with a chainsaw

The young fella who had it as his first car I think,19 wasn't he? Poor chap, completely mindless twats these days. It's the justice system what's a mockery and they know if they get caught they will only get slapped wrists.

I always at the very least block my old chod in. I've currently got the garages where my E23s are stored blocked in with a 5tonne Mitsubishi Canter.

When I had my old, beige E23 at home, I used to whip the battery out on a night. The neighbours did find it amusing on a morning, they all walking out with briefcases/rucksacks etc and I'm carting a car battery and 13mm spanner about so I can get to work!

In saying that though, although precautions could have been taken, it's just not the point. It shouldn't have been stolen, what gives them that right? Poor lad.

Exactly John!  What gives these brain donors the right to take someone else's beloved item and burn it out?  Taking it at all is bad enough, but destroying it... that's just petty.  If I were Home Secretary things would be different!

A simple hidden switch inline with the coil positive lead could have prevented it,or the old take the rotor arm out trick.sad end though.

I remember the PC article from a few months back, it was about BL/ AR special editions. They stuck a fit bird in it so the photoshoot had the feel of a period brochure. Poor chap that metro was lovely. Security wise I tend to block stuff in too (not that I own anything worthy of nicking) I put the most secure car first as with my drive it would have to be got into to get the others out. With shite, lack of scene tax usually means they are less attractive to theives but the ease that a lot of older stuff can be TWOC'ed in itself might add temptation.

I can only wonder what eg owners of 2 door mk1-2 Escorts do, as they've got to deal with a combination of high value, high demand and (as standard) easy to pinch.

Very sad. There is a mix of stealing to order (popular stuff like Minis, Vee Dubs and Land Rovers I reckon) and pure opportunism. You really do need to take steps to prevent the latter. If someone REALLY wants it, they'll take it but a nice, big steering lock tells opportunists to look elsewhere. A hidden ignition kill switch is a very good idea too.

You need a big fuck off disklok not a hidden kill switch / missing rotor arm etc.

Disklok says bugger off opportunists. Stuff that stops it starting = burnt out on your drive. Chav scum works out it's not working, and then realises car now has dna.

Really sad news for the young lad this, I think we had someone try to steal the Starlet of the drive on Thursday night but thankfully the security light and our dog scared them off.

The poor lad must be utterly devastated. It is getting increasingly common for cars to be nicked in the vicinity of a burglary, then dumped and torched. Whoever did this, I really wouldn't tire of hitting them in the face with a mallet

That's probably why they stole it, because it was so easy to do so.
