I came up a day ahead in case it broke down, so that I could get recovered and bring a different car the following day!

Didn't need to worry, it didn't skip a beat all the way up here despite being slower than an over-50s coach holiday.

Weather looks like some rain Saturday morning but clearing up by midday and then cloudy for the remainder of the day. You coming up?

Jubilee Day was a success and after 2+ years of hibernation for many of my cars I managed to turn out 5 cars that drove to the display and home again. All thanks is this forum who without all the help I received it would have not been possible, Thanks all involved.

I believe there were 38 cars at the display so 5/38 means I turned out 13.2% of the cars there!

Promising weather !!  @Snake Charmer and me planning to visit. Traffic reports seem ok too, but there seems to be some A41 road works.

You've got a cracking car collection. Right now though, your MG Metro is definitely winning for me! I last drove one in around 1994 and as a car-mad nineteen year old my memories remain very positive. The only negative was traction was always a bit sketchy when flooring it although that may have just been poor quality tyres.

They've aged so well, regardless.

Just had a brunch. Packing the car with shit, including a camping stove, cup and teapot; Citroen car jack; my wheel trims; paint and a few tools and camping gear.

Thanks for trusting me with the mighty XJ!! 😁😁 I'm still smiling now, despite my own HGF. Awesome barge.

In France, generally around 2.07-2.13 for SP98, though I did have to make a 'distress purchase' at one point on the autoroute near Lyon at 2.39... 😳

Turns out my decision to stay put was wise.  I'm about 72 hours behind the guys, but have just tested positive.

Which is really annoying as that timeline means I caught it from them at home rather than actually out in public.  So that's me stuck here for the next 10 days.
