I have even remembered to put my clocks forward so I will be there on time about 10am. I will start this mornings service with a Hymn ................. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cBSeEcFiTWA
Six-cylinder Posted March 29, 2022 Author Posted March 29, 2022 One of the puzzles of the weekend was do I have the correct replacement radiator for the 1974 Triumph Toledo 1300cc RWD. The replacement I have does look a bit like the one in the Parts manual. Anybody any experience of radiators in small Triumph saloons?
High Jetter Posted March 29, 2022 Posted March 29, 2022 It looks pretty close, apart from the lack of drain cock and the take-off for the expansion tank being slightly different. Does it line up with the bracket positions?
Yoss Posted March 29, 2022 Posted March 29, 2022 Certainly looks right. On FWDs the 1500 is deeper than the 1300 but that's mainly down the starter motor being in the way. I've fitted a 1500 radiator and starter to mine, the starter issue is irrelevant to you, it's at the front of the engine on a FWD. But you do need more of these angle brackets. And some 7/16 bolts. Maybe you have those in a box somewhere? High Jetter 1

Six-cylinder Posted March 30, 2022 Author Posted March 30, 2022 Good Bye Clio! yes my Clio is now sold with all the agony of Facebook. 10+ enquires Lots of blind offers starting at £300. First to view with plan for 6pm Monday, bumped me to 5pm Tuesday and then no show. Second arranged for an hour and half time last night, no show. Third to view was a very polite young man on time this morning. Deal done and off he drove. Sad to see it go, its been a great car, but I just can't keep everything. AxWomble Posted March 30, 2022 Posted March 30, 2022 Sorry couldn’t attend this weekend - looks like great fun! Meanwhile, our car was undergoing torture by shaving foam. Only only scar thankfully! Six-cylinder, Dyslexic Viking, wuvvum and 5 others 8
chaseracer Posted March 30, 2022 Posted March 30, 2022 Get the shaving foam off sharpish! When the Dyane wrapped its bonnet round the screen rail at 80+ in 2004, you could still read the 'messages of luurrrrrve' from our wedding 13 years previously... richardmorris and Snake Charmer 1 1
Six-cylinder Posted March 30, 2022 Author Posted March 30, 2022 Let’s talk about Easter No, not man nailed on a cross, not fluffy bunnies or even chocolate eggs. This is about FoD. It has been mentioned to me that Easter weekend is a stupid time to hold a FoD as everybody will be busy with other things. I have a free extended weekend and can open up FoD for the long weekend or any days there are takers. I know @catsinthewelder is planning to come over and therefore I will open those days. What are other folks thinking? Unfortunately it is still a bit early for any sort of meaningful weather forecast. Dyslexic Viking and Floatylight 2
Fumbler Posted March 30, 2022 Posted March 30, 2022 I can certainly try and make it there but my Easter weekend will be spent playing with guttering while 30' up on a scaffold.

dozeydustman Posted March 30, 2022 Posted March 30, 2022 Sunday is a possibility. Won’t be able to stay/camp (or be useful!). Not sure if there are any plans for family visiting us or us visiting family.
wuvvum Posted March 30, 2022 Posted March 30, 2022 I'm in Zummerzet for the Easter weekend - I will be coming back via Milton Keynes on Monday afternoon so could stop off at the FOD for an hour or so but I imagine everyone will have buggered off by then.
Ghosty Posted March 30, 2022 Posted March 30, 2022 I have a mandated long weekend at Easter and nothing planned for it yet.
catsinthewelder Posted March 30, 2022 Posted March 30, 2022 I could come a different weekend if you like? Might need to buy another set of mini Easter eggs for Daisy to hunt though 🤣
mat_the_cat Posted March 30, 2022 Posted March 30, 2022 I'm tempted. I need to go down to Cornwall to pick up a door for the LT take my wife on a romantic holiday, so if I can make sure the dates don't clash, I'll try and head down.
Six-cylinder Posted March 31, 2022 Author Posted March 31, 2022 Last night was a new start up of a local evening classic show, 4° C and drizzling was not helpful. Never the less a nice spread of cars and I am sure it will grow. My great white whale was dwarfed by a coupe next to me! The Football club house had a bar and also served Tea and coffee so altogether a pleasant trip out. richardmorris, LightBulbFun, Dyslexic Viking and 4 others 7
Six-cylinder Posted March 31, 2022 Author Posted March 31, 2022 I know, I know I said I am selling cars this year and thinning out the collection. To hide the new small white car from Mrs6C I ordered a blanket of snow to hide it! catsinthewelder, richardmorris, RichardK and 14 others 11 6
beko1987 Posted March 31, 2022 Posted March 31, 2022 The portable train shed looks wonderful under the snow... I can't see a whit car at all 😂🌨️
hairnet Posted March 31, 2022 Posted March 31, 2022 Nice merde More details Are the cx and the GS jelus
Zelandeth Posted March 31, 2022 Posted March 31, 2022 Another wonderful example from the peak era of Citroen looking at what every other manufacturer was doing and going "No thanks, we'll just do our own thing." I miss that. LightBulbFun 1
hairnet Posted March 31, 2022 Posted March 31, 2022 if the weathers ok - squeaky to belfast on the boat fuck medical - just get on with it
