I had to solder the side repeater wires back into the plug. I found I ran out of hands to hold the soldering iron, solder, plug pin and wire so I enlisted Mrs6C to give me two hands. I love it when a plan comes together! To celebrate I had the car cleaned including having the nasty black spot on the passenger seat cleaned. Feeling good I stopped to take a couple of phots. On the way home the car then rewarded me with a warning light, fortunately it turned out to be the low washer fluid, but just that flash of orange panicked me. I had it over nine years and never ran the washer fluid low. I’m not sure you’re taking enough care of it DSdriver, Six-cylinder and mitsisigma01 3

Six-cylinder Posted February 27, 2022 Author Posted February 27, 2022 What a nice day out with the Milton Keynes Classic Car Club. We meet in MK at 10am and toured the 20 miles to the Buckinghamshire Rail Centre in Quainton as group. Arrangements had been made for us to park inside the gates next to the trains. The American cars apart from the Corvette were from an Aylesbury group also allowed inside parking. Sunshine, café, railways and cars......... Mrs6C, Snake Charmer, BeEP and 4 others 7

Six-cylinder Posted March 2, 2022 Author Posted March 2, 2022 It is nearly spring and a young man’s thoughts turn to Pink Scooters! Yes, I am now the owner of a pink scooter and I am very grateful to @catsinthewelder for organising it. At the very least it will provide spares for the black Direct Bikes 125cc already at the FoD. The question is can we make it run? I have been thinking about dates for the FoD this year and for early season opener 26/27 March seems a good start if the weather will cooperate. AnthonyG Posted March 2, 2022 Posted March 2, 2022 Up for a late March meet if the weather co-operates. Can’t promise to fix the scooter though!
bub2006 Posted March 3, 2022 Posted March 3, 2022 Snap except mine is black. Very comfy little scooter. Mines the 152 gy6 engine and 125. Have a fair bit of knowledge on these gy6 lumps. Parts and tuning bits are readily available. As standard they are rathe restricted by small carb, inlet manifold and exhaust. Also some have smaller valves. LightBulbFun and Six-cylinder 2

bub2006 Posted March 3, 2022 Posted March 3, 2022 Thats the thing when you have a car licence. You can pick and choose what to use and when to ride. Before I passed my test I worked in care, domiciliary, nursing and brain injury and I had to use a bike in all weather. Six-cylinder 1

Six-cylinder Posted March 4, 2022 Author Posted March 4, 2022 Round 2 of get the BX out ready to take for MOT took place yesterday afternoon. Once again @slowsilver was harnessed to help and did his tight squeezing into a car trick and then got the BX to breath in to get it out! The only issue was my new rechargeable tyre pump was saying the pressure not attached to a tyre was 50+ psi and would not add air to an obviously low tyre. This morning it is reading 0 psi at rest again. The number plates are a treat for @LightBulbFun The BX was pre registered by Citroen UK and retains it's original number plates from Sep 1992.
