The only thing more face palm -worthy than the owner of the poor Bluebird are the comments on it that are delivered on ContrivedRides without a whiff of irony. If the owner had banger raced it I wouldn't have had an issue but this, seriously?!?

Step right this way sir. Some mong's cut the roof off with a can opener, there's no running gear but it's only £200.

That bluebird has a new owner who is planning on getting it resprayed, TBH ive seen a lot worse than that. I must be getting old though cos i find myself wanting to keep stuff standard nowadays. Giffer level achieved.

2) Everything is shafted

3) It's 700 sheets - ha ha ha

From, guess where -

Oldsmobile produced various Diesel engines from 1978 to 1985. Sales peaked in 1981 at approximately 310,000 units, which represented 60% of the total U.S. passenger vehicle Diesel market, but this success was short lived. Sales quickly declined over the next several years as gasoline prices dropped. Additionally, the Oldsmobile Diesel had gained a reputation for unreliability and anemic performance that damaged the North American passenger Diesel market for the next 20 years.[2][3]

I bought this P4 80 off of Ebay for its engine, which works fine. The seller was going to restore it but had second thoughts. I've found myself wondering what his first thoughts were.

Things get worse underneath. The normally hefty lower wishbone has bent through 45 degrees explaining the wheel's odd camber.

Finally the chassis. You've got to admire the optimism of the person who tried to patch it. The car was last on the road in 2006. I'd guess the dampers were flailing about for quite a while as the top chassis mounting brackets have disappeared completely. I'd have been insulted to have come away from the 2005 MOT without at least an advisory.

Wow^^^

Double what he said. Had the PO found a way of reconverting rust to metal?

Not as far gone as most on here, but you could at least make an effort before putting the for sale sign in the window. Oddly, has been up for sale on the Isle of Doggies for many weeks. Yours for £750, mot till September.
