I could have sworn that I saw an A series CLS or summut today,  made me think of the 90's booted Mazda 121.

Can't find such a thing online though so maybe I had a brief doze on the M42 and dreamt about it.

Aye that's the badger,  it looked short for some reason and I saw the a on the badge and thought a class.

Seat Exeo

attachicon.gifimage.jpg

I walk passed one most days and I thought it said Exed until I tried to google it now.

You know some retail chains move stock between locations and subsidiaries based on best before dates? This is what VAG did with these.

"Yes, Sir, they're still perfectly usable, it's just the gearknobs are going a bit cheesy."

I remember seeing an Exeo about 5 years ago, manager of the local Morryways drove one. Poundland Audi A4 with what quality it had removed.

The reason for Mercedes Citans existing is Mercedes' excellent commercial vehicle service, I'm sure they run 24 hour workshops or certainly late shifts at the Mercedes CV garage a mile from here - less downtime, moar profit.

This would be quite an upgrade from the MR2. (£8k on ebay)

I Thought it was an experimental two seater cabriolet version of an Allegro III with that front end.post-9282-0-32053100-1419849261_thumb.jpg

This was mine. Just a Fiesta with a different badge. Grill was a bit different.

Aye, a 4x4 version of one of these would be awesome for over-landing!

I'm aware of most cars but that Seat Bocanegra that he recently bought was a new model to me.

Yep - more black plastic trim on the corners. I was well aware of these, it's just I'd never seen one later than V-plate in that shape. What I didn't know is that there was also a facelift version with the different lights. I've only ever seen one.

I had to check through five pages to see if anyone else thought the same as me. I should have started from the newest post and worked back.

...and Subaru XT convertible, a period US-market local conversion that looks good enough to be factory:

What was the story with those Mazda 121s? I know Ford had some sort of involvement with Mazda at the time but they seemed pretty pointless - only ever seen a handful?

They were made for people like us so that in the future we have instant shite.

I believe it has something to do with import quotas. Only so many cars built in Japan can be sold in EU countries, so instead of building an entire factory in Scunthorpe you just slap your badge on a car that is already built here.

Or I could be talking out of my arse as usual.

Didn't Ford own about 60% of Mazda at that time?
