I think it's apocryphal, Hyundai called it the Trajet CRTD. And I'm pretty certain the CRTD badge was at the bottom of the hatch, while 'Trajet' was at the top.

Of course I knew Montegos existed. I also knew they were quite popular in France, especially in TD estate flavour. What I didn't know was that the French ones were badged differently: where UK cars were just 'Montego' with no mention of Rover, these are the opposite.

Rover 2.0GTD on the back. That's not a spec we got in the UK either.

The reasons for not badging the Montego as a Rover in the UK because it was a budget model unworthy of the prestigious Rover name clearly didn't apply across the channel.

I've had one journey in a Sedona. I remember 2/3 things about it.

It had the greyest interior i've ever seen in my life. Every single thing was the same shade of grey, front to back. It was actually impressive how they'd managed to make it all blend into one.

And the seats were somehow so soft, you sunk into them and went straight through the padding to the point you were sitting on a metal frame. The backrest in particular was horrendous, lean back even a fraction and it's a straight metal beam pressed right onto your vertebrae. Never sat in a more uncomfortable seat in any car.

Probably very well known - but I'd not seen one before -  a Ka 4-dr - the Ford Ka Plus - 2016 - 2019 apparently. Very neat. Sold in the UK and elsewhere I expect.

Manufacturers have a long history of that shenanigans - back in the 1950's, for example, some ordinary Hillman cars were rebadged as more prestigious Humbers in New Zealand- well away from prying UK eyes. 

A much more difficult sleigh-of- hand to pull off these days.

I remember that being launched. They actually discontinued the lower-spec Fiestas to make room for it in the range. To this day I still don't know what the point of it was.

I seem to recall it was a reheated serving of a South American offering from Ford.

Similar to the Ecosport in that respect.

I got a brand new one as a hire car at Luton airport in 2020 (.19 reg). Booked “Fiesta or similar”. £48 for the week, I wasn’t going to argue. Never seen one before that and I’ve only seen two since.

I never knew about these until the other day. Amazing looking car. DKW 1000 sport coupe. Vibes of early 60's Ford thunderbird but with a 3 cyl 2 stroke. Whats not to like?

It would seem they have an atrocious safety record both on land and on water, because they were never designed to run on public roads, and their amphibious nature was only ever intended to last just long enough to get the men with bang sticks where they were going.

We had one or maybe two of those, still in green, that took punters from Eastbourne beach to one of the pleasure boats operated by the local Allchorn family. Here's a pic of one from 2006:
