Bad points:

Headlights have started to go misty (passed last mot but could do with a bit of wet & dry or autosol)

Backbox has a small hole. Weld or putty should suffice. Or if you win the lottery, a brand new one is £31 from Euro Car Parts.

Check values on ebay, and youll see people are asking between £800 and £1300 for exampes of this age.

She needs £500 minimum. So thats the AS price.

It'll be going on ebay for moar money if none of you bargainhunters fancy a bit of Japanese reliability.

Located NE304PQ.

Close to Scotland and Essex by way of airports and train stations.

Fish and chips and cup of tea included in purchase price.

Looks a bargain Mr Shitpeas, you should have no trouble shifting that. Nice low insurance group as well I would have thought

Huh! I thought the rear valences on these came pre-dented from the factory.

Canny that. Also I'm sure X reg is 2000 or 2001.

Yeah, sorry. 2000. Well spotted.

Which means its an EVEN BIGGER bargain.

These were new 'n' expensive when I passed my test so I still assume them to be modern!

I love those sort of kaleidoscope speedos on these. Very impressed with the cars when we had them as company motors a few years back now. I'm one more (decent) cycle sale away from telling you I want this.

I learnt to drive in one of these, and can confirm that I can't remember anything about it whatsoever except for it's colour.  Looks like ace value for an economical runabout, which is just what I needed only a few weeks ago.

GLWS!

How can you not remember the gear change? Thats my favorite aspect of the car.

Its like cycling a bolt action rifle.  So direct and solid. Across the gate even sounds like a reload.

** other jap action has been referred to as such, but no Jap ever drove an IMP  ;)

Never had a 3 scooper!

I mean, Wood m9 bt alerjic 2 darey GLWS

A mate of a Ad's has a T plate one of these (sure I have mentioned it to you before) and he reckons it's worth "2 grand, all day".

I strongly disagree with that, but I reckon you will get £500 without too much hassle.

Those who think that 1st Gen Yaris's are modern, check out James May's hairdo

Hey, that's my hair style*.

How much fish and chips is involved here?

I believe I know the two possible eateries and you get a canny enough feed, but we are not talking a 'whale and a pail', here.

HTH.

That looks minty fresh, but it rhymes with Harris so I'm out.

GLWTS though.

Can any potential buyers have a shot on the 'shieldsman' ferry as well??? Its sounding increasingly tempting.

Lost the plot here due to the vagaries of t'internet... Is this still for sale?

Posted

MrBo11ox - No.

Bobthebeard- yes mate, still for sale. Just gone up on eBay at a suitably higher start price, but Autoshite price still stands for fine upstanding shitters such as yourself.

Posted

Hmmmmmm........

Am interested! No idea why. But ticks the boxes.

Posted

Upon close inspection, the car definitely needs a new back box, so that will be done over the next couple of days.

Posted

As there was a sale on at Euro Car Parts, the Yaris is getting a new centre section AND back box.

Asking price remains the same for even more value.

You have failed the Pandapops school of car advertising.

What you are supposed to do, is have zero interest in the car and then have unrequired work etc carried out and bump up the price, accordingly!
