Yep, my car was filthy this morning as well. I rarely wash my car but since I can barely see out of the rear window I  guess I better do

Heh so weird, I washed my car yesterday and this morning it had a later of dirty water on it! So thats why!

I put the wipers on dry this morning, and got a lovely sound of a windscreen gathering hundreds of tiny scratches just right for screwing with my vision on a sunny day. A bit of squirt on it as well and it looked like swamp water coming off.

I had to wash our Volvo S60, Triumph 2000 and Toyota Celica yesterday afternoon after the dusting, in fact the Celica needed THREE washes as it's black paint seemed to trap the dust!

I washed the Skoda yesterday, I was not impressed with the look of it this morning.

I haven't washed my black XSi since i bought it 6 months ago,so the underlying grime is obviously giving it a nice protective covering........

I waxed the XM yesterday - the half that can be seen from the house - I am hoping that this half will just hose off.

Spot the twat that washed both cars yesterday....

Me too :(

We get this regularly round these parts - is it not usual elsewhere?  All the cars we covered in sandy leopard spots this morning.  Luckily* it pissed down this evening so probably it will all have got rinsed off again by tomorrow.

None of mine is due its annual hose down for months yet ;-)

I washed mine yesterday and as I was drying it the heavens opened up and it had a sandy dirt residue left on it

I got exactly the same - washed and polished the vectra - now it looks like I have wasted my time.

Meh.

Not the first time its happened. Nothing a good hose pipe off wont sort.

Not that that is likely to make the MicraShed have its yearly wash any sooner.

This coming from the bloke who used to park his car on the front at St Annes every day - GR9 for "whorls" in the paintwork.

Went to Lincoln today in the Aggy - there was much fog in the morning, and much filth on the car afterwards. Screenwash got a caning. Indeed, it was hard to tell if it was the desert storm or general road filth to blame.

The Daily Express in typical tabloid form.

Killer smog eh? Cars were a bit dusty this morning but nothing much else has happened yet....

What is this "washing the car" of which you speak...?

:-)

I don't know what you lot are complaining about. Every single time it rains here our cars get covered in dust (likewise every time we get dew during the winter)

You should be ok this week though. All your (killer*) dust is now over here.

Welcome to la nina weather. I remember the Daily Fail/Sun/Mirror hype last time the weather patterns flipped.

Should be a nice, fairly dry Indian summer though*.

good job I was too busy either drunk or hanging out my arse last weekend to clean both ours, mines not been washed since October, and hers is brand new so no matter how clean it is, one spec of dirt demands a cleaning
