Definition of Pineappled in the VW Golf way

Fuck, I accidentally said a colleague owned a pineappled mk4 gold on pissedonheads and now they dont know what pineappled means.

I know what it means in as much as the image that comes into my heads, but anyone got a good definition that I could copy and paste in? Dont remember seeing it in the lexicon thread...

VW (or other VAG vehicle) customised by owner in VW scene style.

Elements include suspension mods of dubious safety, stretched tyres, odd coloured wheels, sticker-bombing, deliberately rusted panels, iron cross decals, German style number plates and "vintage expedition" style roof loaded with oddities such as vintage suitcases, old wooden fruit or drink crates, bicycles which will never be ridden and the afformentioned pineapple. This roof rack and load is purely for display, none of these items are intended to be removed from the vehicle and there will likely be plenty of space for the carriage of goods in the vehicle's boot.

The owner, when asked, will reveal that he has made all of these clichéd modifications because "he's an individual".

Someone at a neighbouring company has one - a passat estate. 19" wheels, elastic bands for tyres and about 1" of ground clearance. Tints on all windows with various stickers. German style number plate V....DUB. It is shiny dark blue though and no roof rack.

Spot-on definition, Tayne.   I am pleased to note that my own VW is the exact opposite in every respect.  As its a camper though there is a small tin of sliced pineapples in a cupboard.  My own little joke......

Not that I'm bored or owt, but after extensive research these are the only pineapple VW pictures I can findpost-17414-0-37168900-1396002360_thumb.jpg

And Pineapple Pete's would seem ideal as the Autoshite bar of choice

The driver will probably wear one of those sweaty baseball hats that's really padded. Combined with something akin to the size of a wheel bearing jammed in his earlobe.

I am sadly unable to comment on this thread until my next issue is published.

The 1st rule of autoshite is you don't talk about autoshite :-)

Stolen from the twats thread.

I like the way he has completed the 'useless shit' look to the roofrack by adding himself to the clutter. 10/10

Hmmm, fake patina, rusted look - on plastic bumpers! Tit!

I expect that looked an alright car before he put his 'unique' stamp on it.

Are those stupid looking stretched tyres these lot often use even legal? They dont look safe at all to me. And I dont get how anyone thinks it looks good, it looks utterly shit!

Ironically, a Mk3 Golf definitely doesn't need much in the way of help to look like a rusty shitheap. The rust does that all by itself.

Isn't Pineappled just Autoshite for Ratlook?

I think the whole massive great big thing has just evolved from a throwaway comment of "jesus, look at all the shit on that roofrack, all it needs is a pineapple and a false leg" or something.

Of course, that's how all stories start. Perhaps in years, we'll be worshipping a pineapple and we'll have a yearly celebration in a petrol station where we'll take photos - but nobody will really know why.
