Does anyone on here admit to currently owning a Morris Minor or an MGB?

I have not got most of the cars I've ever owned

I've got a minor and two mgbs

I am one of the few people to have actually seen an Earnshaw Diamond and photographed it.

Thanks for owning up to your MGBs, that has saved me from having to admit to my BGT.

Anyone got a Datsun Stanza? They used to be everywhere and took me home many a night pissed up in Hanley in the mid nineties.

Sherpa sports are handy little cars, I paid £400 for the first one with a years ticket, I mot it every year and then don't drive it, my black lab goes everywhere with me and its a squeeze in the mg so I don't use it,my scimitar is the next worse, he prefers the jags or range rover or Thames van for lounging capabilities

If so, who is it, and if not, shall I take one for the team and buy one?

Come on time is rushing by, there was talk about bringing all three together in Wales for the Autoshite gathering.

There's not a hope of my Maserati being at Shitefest '14.

I tried to remove the n/s sill on Christmas Day... it seems to have been replaced before, but it was (badly) seam-welded on rather than spot welded like the original o/s sill so will need shitloads of grinding to remove. I also found several 'new' holes in the n/s inner sill, and the heavily-corroded fuel pipes - which run along the length of the n/s sill - will have to be removed / replaced before welding or serious grinding occurs. So I'm going to leave working on the Mas until I can spend a full week working on it in spring or summer.

So I just chopped a large hole in the n/s sill to investigate the state of the bottom of the B pillar (it had also been repaired before but was in good condition), then went to the pub.

X1/9 Pic

I'm pretty sure there's more than one around, and unless I'm mistaken TiffX19 has multiple,

If you are thinking of getting one I'd say try one first, as soon as I sat in one I knew I'd hate driving it as I found the driving position cramped.

I have an X1/9 -I think. Panhard 65 collected it form e, and I hope ot collect from him soon.

Sadly, its just for parts- the engine going into my early Mk1 Strada, brakes onto the Yugo etc etc .

I used have 1985 x1/9 VS and despite being a fairly average 5'10" I drove it with the seat pretty much right back. Liked it to drive though, like a leather trlmmed go kart.

I've had a cabby in one before and, dispite being a healthy 6'2", felt it was ok. Although I do tend to have my seat quite close to the wheel.

In my usual "what could possibly go wrong?" manner, I will pay over the odds for the first pile of shite that presents itself, money which could be better spent on my Galaxie

I don't think I would really call it an X1/9 the state it is in it certainly doesn't look like one. Uno turbo engine according to the bloke I collected it from should make a fun strada.

I had an X1/9 and loved it (5' 11").  I'd absolutely have one again, even though it was a bit cramped and some things were a pain to work on.  It's so much fun to drive that I can't believe it took me so long to get my hands on one!

Saying that though, I never went out looking for one, I always had other priorities.  I just happened to be in the right place at the right time, which almost never happens in my life.

Anyone here got a Series 1 XJ6, preferably a 2.8?  Fiat 131?  Datsun Violet?

Posted

I have two Datsun Violets. A '76 and a '77, both SSS hardtops.
