Just wanted to say hello

Hello AS. :-D

Long time lurker, first time poster, just wanted to introduce myself before posting and have decided the best way to do this is to give you all a quick rundown of my motoring history to date. So in chronic-logical order:

Nissan Bluebird 1.6 LX

VW MK2 Jetta 1.6 TX

Austin Metro 998cc City

VW MK2 Golf 1.6 GL

Ford Sierra 1.8 GLX*

And that's it.

I passed my test in 2001 yet have somehow failed to ever buy a car with power steering, fuel injection, no rust, or built after 1992. Currently in search of new shite after a few years as a bus wanker but I've gotta be honest with you, it's looking pretty grim out there right now ... :-(

* Alloys AND a boot spoiler, ladies.

Welcome along, sir.

Thanks, chaps. :-D

Your lack of pictures is ruining my buzz.

But welcome in.

I know, I know, I kick myself now for not keeping pictures, but you never appreciate what you have until it's gone do you? :-(

Greetings.

Mk2 Golf & a Metro. Are you my evil twin or am I your evil twin?

Welcome.

It could be worse fella. I passed my test in '04 and ended up with 5 Rover 800s. 3 of which are in various degrees of non-workingness.

If that's your Metro in your avatar then it's it a lot nicer than the one I had, although the first car I ever drove on the public road was, in fact, a Metro Turbo!

Welcome!

With that avatar I expected an Ambassador on the Y

I can but only dream ...

Yup, NE, stones through from the Nissan factory so I guess it was inevitable my first car would be a Bluebird. Hell, when I was growing up it seemed everyone had either a Bluebird or a Micra K10 back then, and a bit later on all the lads of my age who went to work there would hoon around town in their Almera GTis! Now you just see appliance white Jukes outside every other house. :-(
