Hmm, it looks a bit like triggers broom that. Same car for 25 years. Had 4 new engine, 2 chassis, 3 bodies and 4 sets of wheels in that time.

Maybe these guys sold D702 SWL. After all it looks (and probably is) brand new.

Fair enough if it was a SAO Penza.

Am I missing something?

It's a NZ reg, so they "advise" you to register it on a car over there and import the car to the UK. Fair enough, but if you're resident in the UK then you can't keep the plate on, it's only for tourists and temporary residents.

I'd imagine it's also completely devalued by all the AA51NGH - style registrations in the new format. DVLA must have kept them all back to sell at a profit surely, there's 400-odd combinations at probably a grand or so each. So buy a cheap one from the DVLA and be able to use it, or buy an imported registration and get pulled and fined every day.

Or you could just hunt down S1 NGH. Or just forget the whole fucking moronic idea.

I know these things are starting to attract a bit of OMG OSF scene tax, but this is taking the pass, surely?

But is it though? What would you have to spend to restore even a good one to that sort of condition? Strikes me that it would be worth every penny of that to anyone looking for a good example.

Certainly not as bad as some, but a frustrating sign that the words 'performance' and 'Ford' seem to make people think of big numbers.

Works every time. Twenty years after a Ford goes out of production, watch the values go stupid.

Having said that I'm kinda keen that these go up in price a bit. There's a straight but tatty one been sat on my drive for the last year and if four grand is the going rate for a perfect one then that means I can lob three large into restoring mine and still make money.

Oh and there's a forty grand Sierra RS500 on the bay at the moment...

That pickup wasn't too bad, except for those ridiculous wheels... however I notice he's including a set of original wheels, so that's ok then. But being diesel and manual it would never have lit my fire anyway.

Peugeot 205 'multivan' - diesel, done 300,000 kms. 'Unique, electric windows, radio/cd, alloys' is about all the info you get.

From a selfish point of view I too am glad they are going up better then money in the bank. I've a mint 40k from new XR2 that i've had for 6 years now. The wife used it as a daily a while back then i took it off road 18 months ago and parked it in the garage. One day it will surface again though and will stay 100% standard. I've also a mint Capri 2.8 and these seam to be attracting a good price at mo. Glad i'm not on the look out for one. To be honest people who know I have the XR2 have been pestering for me to sell especially a good drinking buddy, the wife give the nod to sell the other week when he upped his offer. But then 24 hours later she said no she liked to much, it's staying.. How many wifes do that ???

I am selling this for my boss. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... K:MEWAX:IT

i have no idea why anyone would want it at 1/2 starting price, i am truly staggered at the interest in it, 312 watchers, even supposing you spent £5k on it after however much you pay for it, you still couldn t rely on it to anything other than bleed you dry of money or any passion you ever had for it, or indeed motoring.

It's got rear louvres, I'd drive that alright.

£200 with over three days to go. To be fair not the seller's fault as seems to be no reserve auction but what's the betting these end up in a 1.1L that's had a log book change?

Hmm, I used to fit six clock dashes to any Mk1 I bought that didn't have 'em. Don't see a problem. It doesn't signify that the car is an RS / Mex or whatever, 1300Es had 'em.

I'd be disappointed if they didn't end up in a car that started life as a 1.1, just as long as it ain't a 4 door.

The only difference between these and 1300E clocks is that the twin cam ones went to 140 mph, I think the normal ezzy one only went to 110

Yep, 6 dial dash in my '73 1300 GT, and 110 was top whack on the clock.
